There is a waste tank where the ink from the cleaning cycles which happens every-time you print after the printer has been unused for over a day or so or turned on. Once full, unless you are very mechanically inclined, throw the printer in the recycle bin! I believe you would get an error code or message that tells you when the tank is full if this is the problem.

I’m pretty sure the -100 doesn’t have a waste tank (my -10 doesn’t).

But, I believe that Canon 13” printers go through an abbreviated cleaning cycle about every 60 hours - slowly but surely filling that little, spongy, 1” wide track just beneath the print head guide.

But, to add to what Bill has said many times *do not print borderless*! Filling out that 3/16th to 1/4 inch border uses an awful lot of ink, perhaps as much as 7% to 10% as the rest of the print - because it is mostly overspray that gets wasted, filling up that “little, spongy” thingy, helping to increase the already high cost of OEM ink.

Have had this printer for several years, works reliably. till now Won't print anything( after i printed a test page) Says "Printer needs attention" Tried some online canon help & they wanted to charge me , a small fee, after initial "chat"
Nope ! anyway i still don't know what "attention is needed" my guess is that because i have 3 of 8 non oem ink cartridges installed, anybody else have this problem ? Thank you for all sincere replies.

First and foremost — *Canon will not charge you for help*!! You’ve dialed a spoofing number. Go to USA.canon.com (on tablet and don’t know how to copy exact link) and then find their ‘support’ page for the correct phone number.

But also, I would agree with the several comments about using 3d party inks - especially the ‘bargain’ brands. (There are some, such as precisioncolors.com that have reputations for top quality products and good communication with customers.)

You may have to purchase and install a new print head - probably around $200 to $300 - or just replace the printer with a newer Pro-200 model. OEM ink is less expensive on the newer Pro-200, but still not cheap.

Let us know your final decision/results - and good luck!

I’d love to see the A-1 as a ‘retro’ camera, (I still own one of several), but there is just not enough room in one to make it a sorta-modern-equipped-what-consumers-would-be-wanting digital camera. Therefore, my vote would be for the F-1!

Oh my gosh dude, what were thinking when you posted a topic like this ? This is UHH, 8 PAGES !
this stuff will go on and on, as I told Jerry on his stupid post about flat earth and moon landing, this is a issue NOBODY can answer, but hey ! this is UHH and opinions freely flow. It is entertainment to me for the most part.
bruce.

And, as any question with no provable answer, there will continue to be many opinions.

Entertainment. Yes. But maybe, just maybe, one will get you in the gut and make you look deeper into yourself.

At the instant of the big bang the entire universe is a single point in at least a 6 dimensional "space". So just where is "up". Some classes in physics are in order.

And, while it is fairly easy to visualize those six, some quantum gurus suggest there were 10, 11, or as many as 20 dimensions!

I think the Big Bang "Throry" is a great theory of part of how God did it.
The Big bang theory does not contradict the Bible in any way.
The Big Bang Theory does not answer the Unmoved mover question.
"Who or what caused the Big Bang?" I find it much more plausible that a Super Intelangance caused the most unexplainable thing that ever occurred. The existence of God answers the puzzling question of.
Why is there anything vs nothing?

I’ve been an “Theistic Evolutionist” my entire life - starting with questioning my minister at eight years old: ‘But, Mr Ivan, how long was a day?’. After a lot of bluster and admonishing looks towards my parents, the answer was: ‘Only God knows’.
My parents put up with me asking silly and unanswerable questions - a lot - only responding: ‘So, what did you think of [Mr Ivan’s] answer?’
I’m forever grateful to them…

Rented the second floor of a ca: 1800 house for a year or so. I really secured the doors and any or all access from the first floor because we (wife 2 daughters) thought someone was coming into the house and watching us - especially at night (there was reason to suspect the downstairs neighbors).

One day I got a new book, and as I’m wont to do, sat up and read until long after the rest of the family went to bed. About three AM, I sensed someone walking into the room and staring at me. Thinking it was my wife telling to ‘come to bed you’ve gotta get up in three hours for work’, I turned ready to say ‘OK, OK, I’m coming!’.

It was a much older woman, in a blue house robe, arms crossed, just shaking her head.

I did a quick double-take - and she was gone!

I ran through the house, checking every room, every door, turning on every light, opening every closet - and found only the family - all soundly asleep and seeming undisturbed by anything, even my frantic searching. Nothing.

We moved out soon afterwards.

Jerry, I have Mac products. Years ago, somewhere on my phone, I found something that asked if I wanted to sync all my products--phone, iPad, and computer. I said yes, and that gave me a texting icon on the bottom row of my computer. Sorry I can't be more help.

I use that, as well. The only problem is connecting to Android/Google devices (really meaning: unable to)

Different paper thickness?

Check in utilities for ‘prevent paper abrasion’. If your paper is too thick, as Longshadow suggested, this could happen…set the button to ‘on’.
AND - it could work the other way as well - paper too thin and paper abrasion is ‘on’. Turn it off. (Canon papers except for Platinum and [the now Hahnemuehle Museum Etching] Fine Art are fairly thin.)

But, also. Check the rollers, make sure the receiving tray doesn’t have any restrictions on the bitter end, and make sure the paper isn’t ‘warped’, which can happen in humid weather/areas. (I usually store paper - especially the thick stuff I usually is - with the boxes upside down.)

Good luck. Let us know when the problem is solved.

I recently purchased an M1 Mini. Basically same issue - but unlike you, I called Adobe and asked for help. The tech said that there is an issue with the M1 architecture, and assisted in downloading a different Install program. Spent about 15 minutes total on phone and have had no problems since.

Call Adobe!

Dirty track ball on mouse most likely. Turn it over, gently blow it out and it should be ok. If not, they’re many good mouses (mice? meese?) reasonably priced out there, just buy a new one!

Had some issues with my then new M1 Mini with various programs not running well or crashing, and ended up making appointment at the Genius Bar. After about 10 minute of the same thing happening to him, the tech turned off my Norton antivirus software and I haven’t had a problem since (well, only one, surprisingly - with Apple’s Photos).

The tech said there is something with Norton that is not completely compatible with the M1 architecture.

Try that. Maybe it’ll work!

If you have a *USPS* box, you can ship a “No PO boxes” this way:

(Name of the box holder)
Street address *of your post office* and box number listed as ‘unit’. IE; 123 Elm St, Unit 456
City, state, zip

And probably not a bad idea to tell the box clerk at the PO
