I have purchased a 6D, 5Diii, and a 100-400ii from them. There are tricks to save the most, but you need patience and know your top dollar. Great eay to purchase many items

Greentoe is a fantastic place to purchase items, but you don't need to accept their counter offer, just raise your original bid, wait, raise it again. You'd be surprised what you can really get the item for if you wait a bit.

I made an offer on Greentoe for this lens and teleconverter: Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary Lens and TC-1401 1.4x Teleconverter Kit. The counter offer is $1159 which is $130 less than what Adorama is selling this one. I got a d3400 at Christmas with the kit lenses 18-55mm and I purchased a 70-300mm with AF. I live in the country near lots of nature areas and have tried to do some wildlife photography but want something more than the 70-300mm. I do have a good tripod. Some questions:
1. Is this a good price for this set up?
2. Is this a good lens for wildlife photography?
3. At this stage in my photography experience, should I make the 70-300mm work and "grow" into this lens?
Thanks.

[quote=ricardo7]They are generally very old lenses, often made
at the turn of the century. Their quality is no where
close to modern lenses.
Holy moley, time to get with current times.

Canon makes what, 3 different 75-300 lenses?

Post a pic but one consideration is that its a short focal range lens. If you, in the PP, crop too much it would add more noise than expected. Also that lens, if Im not mistaken, its one of the worse lens Canon makes and that could contribute to more IQ degradation.

ISO 2500 with your camera should not produce enough noise to matter, you have to raise your shutter speed. 1/320 is half where you should be.
