You write just like DIRTBAGGER, are you his twin?

Could be . another sciences guy explained it like this , coal is the worst just as different liquids in a drinking glass ,the crap in the air finds its own levels in the
atmosphere and each type of pollution is there and they form a ring ,each a different size around the earth , from what comes out of the tail pipe of your car
to the smells coming out of a garbage dump to the perfume your wife splashes on
To the sweat or your skin .most are harmless ,then there is the fossil fuels of burning ,tons and tons of coal burning day in and day out non stop since man
Started using it . so try o imagine a huge inner tube around the earth and a mile
thick and the stuff of which it's made off is only the microscope small as germs
When it on the earth but when it's high in the air way way way up there it expands
a hundered times it's size , and you can't see it ,but it's there causing a small maginafiing effect on the sun rays that are going through it . and it's getting to be
Bigger inner tube every day that coal is being burned , maybe you have a better
Picture of it now ,that and the glaceres flowing like niagra falls , or the river of no return ,

Is that 600mm with out adding any crop factor . Like it's not a 300mm ff lens on a dx camera to go to 450 mm . It would have to be a lot lighter also , for $1600 I
could buy a 200-500mm zoom , and the proof would be in the photo , if it's better
There is no point fo me anyway .

Bram, I wish you well. But something will find us all. All my immediate family is gone. I am the last of my line. No progeny. Some may be grateful for that!

Something will find me. Dealing with the journey with dignity and integrity is critical, but it is a journey, and it does have an end. I wish you well. I hope you get to find happiness and joy in this stage of your life. You do have a life while you are here.
Bram, I wish you well. But something will find us... (show quote)

The thing is there is no pain , and people can live a long time like this , and when it gets to the stage that you can't move in bed , the only thing that moves is your eyes and you can swallow, that's it , and you carry on in this state totally dependent on them to clean up your bodily function,s , and this can go on for many years as you still still die from old age not this . I'm out of here before that comes I , still have my rifle and hunting licence every year .

No not what I have it only happens to three to five people in a million , according to the records . How many people
In a million get cancer a hundered thousand , that's why cancer is a ongoing fight to cure it . There is hardly any labs
Working on what I have , so there won't be a cure tell it is as comment as cancer .

You have no idea how right you are SS . what I was digenosed with last winter I wouldn't wish on any one except the
worst of the worst . It's something that you never even heard of and I never heard of it before , I can't even step up
On a one inch curb unless there is a lamp pole or something to hang on to . Never in my wildest dreams I could think of
This .

Nobody knows it's all a guess what happens will hahappen . I have heard all the experts ,and even they can't agree
But one thing is for sure , all the glaceres are melting , is this caused by man or would it be going one any way , but I tend to think it is caused by man but I hope not , but I seen a lot of stuff on tv about it and some is very convincing ,
If it is caused by man , well then it is supposed to happen , and we will go the way of the tiranasour , the earth will heal
And some thing else will come along no problem , life is strange , I'm not a believer but there was some thing intelengt
That started it all it was no god , it could of been a far more advanced race that seeded this planet and there still keeping a watch on it , take away one main thing and our lives would hell take away a few more and it wouldn't be worth living , that would oil , electricity , steel ,iron , every thing on this planet is condusev to our well being right down to the bed and quilt you sleep in to the sand and water we have concerned or used every thing to our well being , there is nothing left but to Corner the secret to a health long life , and food for every one but we are falling on a lot of that ,
So I can see it only lasting maybe 50 mor years , but by then there will be starvation no jobs murading gangs marchel
Law , the only hope is birth control for every nation to get the people and foood supply balanced , but the big company's
Are two greedy they will keep making all this crap food killing us slowely making all this crap we don't need an selling it
World wide , I doubt if this was the long term plan for us , we need more help than what these drips we elect are doing
To the world . I can see a world war coming any time now , it would not suprize me if a few nations got togeather and
Agreed to bomb the hell out of a few hot spots and kill of half or more of all the humans on earth , that's the only way
Man kind is going to be here in a couple hundered years from now , the ant hill is got big to fast it's got to be trimmed
Like a plum tree , where I grew up the people were almost non exsient , we used to play on the roar everyday, I bet
The there I a thousand people for every one person that was there before in the early sixties our neighbour had the
Two millionth baby Bourn on New Years in British Columbia , now how many people in British Columbia Canada
I'm guessing 30 million or more , we never had a big food store tell 1970 Just little corner growers something , now there is thousands one every couple blocks , it's a mad house and getting worse , and we carry on blind to every thing around you , we all must be going nuts , have a nice sleep ,

I am looking for a backup camera to my DSLR. I want a camera to just throw in the car to take pictures of birds and/or ships I may come across when I am out and about for reasons other than photography. If I go on a dedicated bird or ship expedition, I will want my DSLR.

MY question for any who might own or have used the II version, will I be satisfied or disappointed in the IQ? It has a 1" sensor so that should be a strike against it compared to my APS-C. I rarely print over 8X10 or so. This is a very expensive camera (for me) and I don't want to spend the money if I would be disappointed in detail/sharpness. I have looked at some pictures on the web and the results I have seen look pretty impressive. It seems to produce at least marginally better images than the Panasonic FZ1000/FZ25000. I don't care about video.

Anyone with hands on experience with this and a good DSLR: what is your view on IQ, especially at the upper telephoto range?

Branmy, you fill you're pretty little head with too much worry.
Nobody cares if Hunts puts more water into the soup than does Campell.
What we're talking about here is who put it into a CAN FIRST, then who just jumped onto the can band wagon?
If this is just too difficult for you to comprehend, let me know and I'll run right on over and hold your hand as you click on Leitz's link!!!!!!!!
After that, you can Put'em In your pants for all I care!!!! LoL

IMO the D810 is a fantastic camera. For me to replace it would require huge changes. I really like the D810 and would need real convincing to replace it with a Nikon upgrade.

Well look at it as a ten year project , it should last you at leasf that long , at least
10000 pic a year with no effort , a hundered thousand pictures divided by cost of camera , and it may keep going beyond that number of clicks , my d90 has over
Half that in about 7or eight years , so I may buy a D810 refurb for half its new cost , you never know .

I would cancel the 3400 and get a refurbished D7200 or a D7100" it's a much better camera water resent dust sealed , even if it cost a bit more

It's time to get on with some thing really important , is Campbell tomato soup made with that much better inovations than Hunts or Almore . I lie awake at nights trying to figure that perplexing question out , some say it is , but just as many say no , have to take a pole and vote . But then Puten will mess that up

A lot of people are against this they mistakenly call this unpure and altering the
Picture . Well I disagree ,it's no different than a artist trying to get the best out of his creation , your just bringing out the high lights that are there allready . Your not adding a bunch of stuff that's not there like more trees and objects , it's the same scene only with more ooomph to it , look at some of the eagle shots a round
They would not look as good with out all the rest of stuff that's in the photo brought out where you can comprehend it more easley .

Of the choices we have , and I see I'm not the only one who thinks SS is a little disturbed ,but I still like him , it must have happened to him at a young age ,
I bet he feels the same way about certain foods , cars, tools , guns, knives , audio
Equepement ,engine oil , beer , rye , rum, etc etc etc.

[quote=SharpShooter]Mac, good morning, I knew this post has the potential to deteriate into the sewer. I mentioned a few facts, no need for hype here, just facts.
Surprisingly nobody has pointed out any of the big innovations invented by Nikon.
Yes, at least Sony has been busy innovating ML, and thus carving out its own niche. It's not important here whether Sony's are any good but that they are innovating! And Sony or Pentax(don't know which) has invented in-body stabilization. I see that as pretty big. Neither of those are following anybody.
For all the hype Nikon gets at DXO, it is still number 2. It will take Nikon being a leader and an innovator to get back to #1. You can't follow #1 and get ahead of it. You'll have to eventually go around it!
SS[/quote

What happened in your life shooter you seem to have a strong hatered toward Nikon it's not the first time you went on about canon being so much better , who cares there only cameras , it's almost as goodfie as having a hatered against all tires except Good year , get over it there all the same , there objects that do a job
If they don't do it up to a certain point they dissaper . The ones left standing must be OK or they would be gone like so many past brands , kodack, merranda
koneka., it's called servivell of the fittest . 😜🤓😇💩💩💩
