Do you have another card? Take photo with the new card, download it via camera. Then replace old card in camera and try once more to down load the contents of the card. Just hoping it helps.
I have tried mono pod, tripod, beanbag, a friends shoulder but there are times your invention would be the best answer! You get an "A" for solving the problem! Have you tried it on macro photography?
Perhaps a phone call to Clyde would would be the best way to obtain comfort. On the few pro led photo shoots I have taken, they have many more $$$ invest than me. They too are mindful of the risks.

Pse's organizer works fine, but LR's organizer is great! I have imported all of the photos stored on external hard drives, into LR. It doesn't copy them (unless you want to), it just remembers how to find them. Doesnt matter if you disconect them, LR finds the photos next time you plug the XHD in.
Should also point out that LR and PSE work great together.
That is a significant issue. I hear friends say they love PS for editing, but use LR for the organizer. Might sign up for $10 @ month and give it a try.

I was an avid PSE user, and was very disappointed when I got Lightroom, didn't use it much for the first couple of months. One day I went to you tube, and looked up Lightroom Tutorials. I was amazed what could be done without layers. Now I cant Imagine being without LR. I use it more than PSE.
Do you use LR's organizer. A friend touts LR's organizer?
I am an advanced PSE user and have never used LR. How does LR Complement PSE? It's nearing the time for PSE to announce a new edition? Would it be wise to wait?
I just received my 6D Wednesday. Since I retired a 7D, I have spent more time on the learning curve. A few buttons moved. I am ready to begin shooting. I plan on taking 10 images a day for two weeks. I also plan on walking the same mile, i know my imagination will be stretched -- changing light, birds, spanish moss, trees, lagoons, reflection, rtc. Should make the disciplned shoots challenging! I'll post the best image when I finish the shoots.
I just ordered the 6D with a few additional items. My 7D extra battery will be comparable with the 6d. Ordered the toy package too. I will use the 7D for 8fps sports, also efs f/10 f/22 and beach exposures. Thank you ALL for your input!
I am considering up grading from Canon 7D to 6D. Comments have encreased my interest. Presently have 24-105 L series IS f/4 77, 70-200 f/2.8 L IS, 50 prime f/1.4 IS. And a 2x extender. What would u recommend?
My 24-105 is 9 yrs. old. Package at BH has option for new 24-105. Would u add a second 24-105. I intend on keeping my 7D as a back up.
Basil, I was attempting a shot looking down from a step ladder. 7d Canon on tri pod. Tough position to hold the lens steady, compose, and change settings. Although I captured the shot it would have been far easier if the lens woul have held a solid position.
Thanks for the tips. I will try a couple bands and see if one helps more than the other.
For 9 years Canon L series 24-105 has been my go-to lens. Recently, I notice when I change composure to a downward angle, the lens slips. I start at 24 and it slips to 50 or more. Any suggestions?
