All the clutter will be gone they are moving it all today, I tried to change their mind and they are set...so I guess Im kinda stuck with what they want.

Hmmm...is it really impossible to get outside for one shot between rains?

This seems like a weird background for a family shot...(shed clutter) and I can't believe that a tree and bushes would be worse for a background. :(

Thanks....let me see if I can get across what they are wanting...they collect old antiques signs, old gas station stuff...etc...they like the galvanized steel background..and by saturday the back wall will have old the rustic signs hanging including their an old sign of their last name from a family mechanic shop...my hopes are to put them together half sitting and the rest standing behind them..I am in luck the barn has electricity but the lights are to high up I think for good lighting on them. They are going for a rustic look. We will see how it turns out...gotta love a challenge!!

Ok guys here is the pole barn and the location spot these are my tests shots...granted all the clutter will be removed from area but just wanted to get an idea of what I was working with.

This pole barn is a all open front which will be in front of my subjects so I am hoping for light from there even though it will be a over cast day....I am thinking light boxes on either side to focus more light on all 16 of the people I will be putting into this area.

1. shot was with my nikon lenses AF-SDX 55-200mm at 55 f/4 iso 200

2. 18-55mm lense at 50mm f/5.6 iso 400

3. 18-55mm lense at 44mm f/5.3 iso 200

Hope this helps and clears a few things up

Thanks so much everyone!

Thanks everyone for all the advice...sorry about some of the limited details about the location, I am getting ready to head to the location tonight and take some test shots. So I will probably be posting later for more advice.

Thanks
Angela

Sorry that would be helpful, it will be around 1pm but its supposed to rain. So I am assuming cloudy overcast. There are no windows in the pole barn.

I will be using my Nikon AF-S 18-55mm and they are set on the location.

I am taking family portraits for a family of 15, they have changed their location from outside pictures, to inside a pole barn. I'm wondering about lighting for the pictures. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Thanks for your attempt but you still are not checking the box "(store original)" before you upload. When you do the words "download" will appear under your image and the full detail of what you scanned will be available. When you don't do that UHH uploads only a 300x300 or so image.

I'd say that's the best so far. You'd get much better sharpening if you had the original posted to work with.
