Has anyone tried Smart Photo Editor? It's made by the Portrait Professional people and has been advertising here ($19.95)

Have you used other processing programs?

Archy,
Question for you, which picture is closer to the actual color of the flower. My preference is the 1st photo for color and the 2nd for detail. Color would be my deciding factor.

The background in the second photo is unusual. Very good detail in the flower.

Just got it over the weekend, great effects especially for outdoor shots. Worth the $20

I bought it 2 weeks ago. I figured, what the heck, for 20.00, I'll try it out. It is not too bad. Still learning it, but so far, it was worth the money. Here are some examples. Each of these photos was created with just one click of the mouse. I did'nt edit the priginal photo, so you can see some dust on the lens, but you get the idea. :)

So it's more of a fun program than something I would use for submitting my photos to National Geographic. (Why won't they contact me?!)

I guess I'll give it a shot.

Have you tried Picasa? It's free.

Yes, I have tried Picasa, but I haven't done much with it. I use Irfanview for quick viewing and editing - minor stuff. I downloaded SPE, so I'll see how that looks. It's nice when they give you time to try it before buying it.

I redownloaded it again recently. It does some neat things quickly. I use Elements 10 for editing but one thing I liked about Picasa is that it comes with a screen viewer that is sweet. If you agree to make it your default it is what is used whenever you click on an image file. I sometimes prefer to do that rather than wait on Elements to get itself up and going.
