Theres always vinyl siding. ( sorry to make light of a dilema). But maybe some temporary barrier like they do for bats. Some heavy screening around the area he likes, and or fresh coats of watersealer that may have an odor he don't like

I live in an association where vinyl siding is not an option. I may tell my handyman to try the screening, although what I showed you was only a small portion. This guy has pecked thru the wood on about an 8 ft. section on this piece of my 2-story house. Thanks for the response.

This woodpecker is slowly destroying my house. I had an exterminator out - there are no bugs in the wood. I've had the holes fixed 3 times already. I bang on the wall when I hear him. I've put a fake owl on my roof, but he KEEPS COMING BACK. This picture was taken yesterday. Any ideas???

P.S. I don't have a gun

I, too, hate spiders, but this photo is great. I love the composition.

Flowers in a different setting.
How about selective coloring? Natural colored flowers on B&W jeans, or B&W flowers on blue jean.

I may try that. Thanks for the idea.

Love the textures along with the B&W. Great composition and thought process in making an idea come alive in a photo. Hope to see more especially in B&W.......

Thank you. I like certain B&W. This definitely looked better than color.

Is there a plague outbreak I should know about?

The "Ring Around the Rosie" rhyme has often been associated with the Great Plague which happened in England in 1665, or with earlier outbreaks of the Black Death in England. Peter and Iona Opie remark: "The invariable sneezing and falling down in modern English versions have given would-be origin finders the opportunity to say that the rhyme dates back to the Great Plague. A rosy rash, they allege, was a symptom of the plague, and posies of herbs were carried as protection and to ward off the smell of the disease. Sneezing or coughing was a final fatal symptom, and 'all fall down' was exactly what happened." The line Ashes, Ashes in colonial versions of the rhyme is claimed to refer variously to cremation of the bodies, the burning of victims' houses, or blackening of their skin.
Is there a plague outbreak I should know about? br... (show quote)
