I'm going to enter one of these into our State Fair contest and wanted to ask you to select which one you think is best. If you see one that you like, but could use some work, let me know what needs to be done.

I've have one in mind, which I won't tell you so I don't influence you, and another one was selected by a friend who judges photos. I'm not all that thrilled with the one she picked, but she said it had a "wow" factor to it. She hasn't seen the one I like so maybe she would change her mind if she saw it. Anyway, it's all subjective, but I'd like to get your opinion.

This is tough because they are all really good, and its very subjective which is better. I like the last two the best. The contrast between the Pink Lotus flower and the green seed pod is very cool in the next to last, but the reflection in the last is also nice. Simplicity but balance. I would definitely pick one of those two.

I like the last two. But I feel the last one with the reflection has 'been done before' or at least have seen similar shots. So I would vote for the pink one with the seed pod!

I like them all, #2 is a bit busy, I'd pick 4 or 6. #4 is sexy and delicate, #6 is soft, I'd go with 4...lol

Thanks for your comments. #4 seems to be catching on. Perhaps lightening the flower would make it more appealing?

I like #4, but the last one is more natural. The water is perfectly still, and the reflection is excelent. JMO

I am not a flower guy, but I have seen lots of print competitions in which flowers are entered and one judges seem to abhor is cut off petals. It is fine if it is a closeup, but cropping off petal tips is frowned upon.

I'd go with 4 & 6.
