I don't photograph many spiders but this Black-and-Yellow Argiope was in my garden yesterday afternoon. When I approached it ran rapidly from it's web and rested on this stake. I thought it looked quite handsome there.

Oh no! It had a large meal waiting on it's web. It is a quite harmless spider.

Wouldn't that be something. :D It is a 2 x 2. This guy was about 3 inched tip to tip.
