I like it. Looks wet and dreary and makes you want to be inside.

Funny how people who have never USED something feel the need to denigrate it. Actually I am loving the D7500's. The lack of a second card slot isn't an issue for users moving up from lesser cameras, because they all only have one card slot anyway. Its light, has a great grip feel, VERY fast and accurate focusing, a GENUINE Nikon designed and built sensor, and the tilt screen is great. A baby D500 for sure, and at a very good entry price point. They are selling faster than I can get them in. The majority of buyers are moving up from the D5XXX bodies, or from Canon Rebels.

Agreed!

If judging the D7500 by the number of card slots it has, then it is sure to fail :)

All this negative hubbub from folks that have never even picked one up. Personally I think it will pair nicely and perform well with the new Nikon 70-300 mm lens that hasn't yet been released or even better with the Nikon 300 mm f4 PF lens that weighs 26.5 ounces.
Add a teleconverter to the second lens and you have a sleek, lightweight, weather resistant combination with decent reach, excellent focus and image.

By the way, the camera feels great in my hands!

FYI, I put gaffer tape over the switches on some of my lenses to prevent accidentally switching IS off (or accidentally turning AF off or changing the IS mode).

I might try that-thanks.

The reason that I am asking is because I noticed late into a birding session that the IS on my lens was turned off (don't know how that happened). I was curious to know which images had IS on so I could compare them to the ones with the IS off. I use Camera Raw/ PS CC to process my Raw images but I also have LR CC. I did not see any reference to IS in the EXIF data. Thus my query.

Excellent! Love that you isolated the two elephants rather than trying to get the whole lot of them!

Looks like it served its purpose in its time- (Now that many of the mentally ill live out on the streets, unable to effectively take care of themselves, maybe it's time to revisit that model) I like that it was self sufficient and provided meaningful jobs for the residents.

Anyway- well done images, interesting and intriguing.

In LR or Camera Raw, does the data indicate if IS was on or off? I looked through Camera Raw and could not find that specific data.

Is your Tamron a 18-27 or 18-270 mm lens? The title says 18-270 but the description is different. Is the lens being sold only with the camera or will you sell separately?

A number of folks mentioned, "if your work was better". In this day of cell phone cameras, most consumers of people's work wouldn't recognize good work if they saw it. They'd be happy with crap from a cell phone if the price was less. So, don't denigrate the OP, whose work no one on here has seen.

Every photographic project doesn't require the best possible shots and the reality is that those paying the bill ( or in this case barely paying) get to chose the end product. If free is more important there isn't much you can do about that.
