I always wonder, when I see people all roiled up (like on the Attic) just how they get through the day. Are they always that way 24/7 or shall we say when they are not sleeping? If so, their blood pressure must be boiling over. We sure can have a conversation about different topics and belief systems and still be civil. I have lots of friends with different political and religious views and we are still friends.

We have a semi landline. We have quite a few accounts tied to our landline number but we live in the countryside so we were constantly having the same previously mentioned issues. We now have a box that is a cell phone without internet capabilities. It does have a backup battery that lasts surprisingly long in case of power outages. We mainly switched because they promised cheaper bills than At&t. Main difference I see is they don’t charge for long distance calls.

Did the same thing a couple of years ago. Got tired of AT&T charging such a high price, and got a simple flip phone to use for a house phone. Had to learn how to use a flip phone again. But not my main phone & less than half what my old landline cost.

I like a challenge.

I don't crank them out by the dozens, but I do like to experiment. I build, and I modify.

Former tennis racket below. A double neck below that, with 8-string and 4-string necks.

I thought that's how FedEx was supposed to work...?

More than once they have sent a package that may have started one state away all over the country, back and forth to the same location back East several times, and then I finally get it a week late. Never in a UPS envelope, though...

I only use FedEx if no other option is available. Had the same delivery bounce-around recently with an order. Took more days than it was supposed to. It was supposed to require a signature. The delivery person left the package at the front part of my property (which is 600 feet from my house by the road). Just happened to be looking out the window as I saw him drive off, so I got the package, found him down the road aways & asked him about the required signature and leaving it where it could be stolen. Answer; he had too many deliveries & just didn’t have time. If someone has a job to do, there’s only one way to do it; the right way. In my area this does not happen with UPS or Amazon.

Most of the time I simply "enhance" a photo, adjusting shadows and contrast give it the memory I saw when I shot it. There are some exceptions, of course. I really like viewing well done real estate photography, because even though you know the image has been staged, lighted, and shot in the most favorable way, the final image still does not shout out, "EDITED" in the most obvious way.

CLA might help reduce body fat deposits and improve immune function. The average diet supplies 15-174 mg of CLA daily. People commonly take CLA by mouth for weight loss. It is also often used for bodybuilding and fitness, but there is limited scientific evidence to support these uses.

Overview
The second-most affordable car in the Mercedes lineup, the 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLA is a small four-door sedan with a sleek coupe-style look. A fastback roofline signals sporty intentions, and with more than 400 horsepower, the CLA can indeed get sporty. Inside, the CLA delivers the features, tech and classy feel that buyers expect from Mercedes. A budget Benz, this is not. For 2024, the CLA does some catching up, adding new standard features and more power to boost its appeal alongside capable rivals. The vibrant new Hyper Blue color is also a welcome splash in an otherwise monochromatic palette.

Recently I talked to my good friend who just purchased a Nikon ZFC. He has had it since Christmas. He does a lot of bicycling and likes to take landscape and nature shots. He said he got a spot on the sensor and wanted to clean it but was very nervous about doing so. We discussed cleaning options.

Yesterday he took his Subaru to the dealer for service which is not too far from the Nikon Service Center in Los Angeles. He decided to stop at the Service Center (no appointment) and ask them about the sensor cleaning. "Vic" at the Service Center said they could clean the sensor no charge for him and have it ready when his car was done.

The car service was supposed to take 2 hours. It ended up taking 4 hours and the Nikon Service Center would be closed by the time my buddy got his car back. So there he sat at the dealer.

He called Vic at the Service Center and explained the dilemma and delay. Vic said "No problem, I can drop your camera off to you."

And sure as heck, Vic did exactly that! Upon closing up the Service Center he drove to the car dealer and hand delivered my buddy's freshly cleaned and pristine camera with a spot free sensor.

My hat is off to the LA Nikon Service Center!!! They have always done me right and this is just one more good ending story about strong customer service on the Nikon end. Kudos to Vic and the folks at Nikon Service Center in Los Angeles. You rock.

In the past I would not purchase an extended warranty when I got a new vehicle and several went past 350,000 miles without any problems. I traded for my diesel in July of 2021 after relatives convinced me there wouldn’t be a better time. The dealership talked me into buying a warranty and I have been so glad they did. So far they have replaced a $2000 radiator, a fuel injector, and a valve in the cooling system. The labor for the radiator and the valve was a full day each. Being retired and on SS paying for any of these would have put me in a real bind. The engine itself has been great. Plenty of power pulling our trailer and great mileage just cruising down the road. But I’m so glad I got that extended warranty.

I’m curious. Several new cars I have bought in recent years had at least 36 month/36k miles bumper to bumper warranties included, so would have thought such things would have been covered.
