Interesting Morning

I went to my doctor's appointment at 9:15. "I'm sorry, but we have you down for Thursday." "Tuesday" and "Thursday" are so similar! Two syllables, both begin with T, both contain a U, both end in Day, and both are next to Wednesday. No wonder I was confused. It wasn't my fault. I'm blaming it all on the day-namer.

From there I went to Lowe's to get parts to fix the clothes dryer. Last week, there was a "Pop," a spark, and a tripped circuit breaker. I didn't know there were so many 220v outlets with the same shape holes. I finally found one labeled "Dryer." Then I bought a new power cord and exhaust tube. They say it's important to keep that lint tube clean, so I bought a kit a while back. I wasted my money. The tube is always clean. I guess I have lint-free clothing.

I went to watch YouTube, and I somehow got signed out of Google, so all my regular YT channels were gone. Very odd. I signed in, and they had to send me a code, which I entered. Now, I will have to wait 24 hours for Google to send me a link so I can sign in.

On the plus side, my new mouse arrived as did a set of luthier clamps. Thanks to cruise control, none of the cops on the highway stopped me for speeding.

You do build the Ukuleles? Wow. Take a lot of work to build one.

I like a challenge.

I don't crank them out by the dozens, but I do like to experiment. I build, and I modify.

Former tennis racket below. A double neck below that, with 8-string and 4-string necks.

Thanks. My next one is going to be a "Computer Ukulele." I have a ready-made uke that I'm going to somehow decorate with computer-related components.

How many of these have you made? They're really beautiful. More pics ... of some of the others?

I've made several that have pickups, so I can play them amplified or not.

Jerry, there is an average of 16,000 clothes dryer fires in America each year so effective and efficient lint venting can be property and life-saving.

Codes? We don't need no stinking Building Codes! Yet, here they are:

504.6 Clothes Dryer Exhaust - Domestic clothes dryer ducts.
Exhaust ducts for domestic clothes dryers shall be constructed of metal and shall have a smooth interior finish. The exhaust duct shall be a minimum nominal size of 4 inches (102mm) in diameter. The entire exhaust system shall be supported and secured in place.

The male end of the duct at overlapped duct joints shall extend in the direction of airflow.

Clothes dryer transition ducts used to connect the appliance to the exhaust duct system shall be limited to single lengths not to exceed 8 feet (2438 mm) and shall be listed and labeled for the application. Transition ducts shall not be concealed within construction.

504.6.1 Clothes Dryer Exhaust Maximum length.
The maximum length of a clothes dryer exhaust duct shall not exceed 25 feet (7620 mm) from the dryer location to the outlet terminal.

The maximum length of the duct shall be reduced 2.5 feet (762 mm) for each 45-degree (0.79 rad) bend and 5 feet (1524 mm) for each 90-degree (1.6 rad) bend.

No disagreement from my, but my exhaust vent was squeaky clean when I removed it.
