I have some Tamron, Sigma and Nikon Lenses and find the Tamron to be a good valvue and produces good images. There is a slight vignetting if I shoot wide open with the Tamron lenses but that's easily handled in post.

Seems as if FF and Dx cameras create different lengths because of the the actual camera.

You will often see the different ratings or measurements when lens are sold and can be used on different cameras.

I dont know why it just has always been a factor in the industry. On one camera you might see that a 18 to 200 will act more like 25 to 240 and things like that.

If you have always shot one or the other it would make no difference to you. But if you shoot both, or switched from one to the other, having a constant reference should make it easier to visualize what you will get from each format.

Yes, we have just seen heavy use of the M to M converter - molehill to mountain.

How can a 60mm become a 90mm on a full frame camera

He means that it would be equivalent to a 90mm lens on a FF camera....Rich

It looks like certain members' wheels have gone off the tracks. Al Gore and his energy guzzling house? How does one rate this comment on the "Goofy Scale"?

If you read the comment it was responding to and you kept up with current events you might get it.

"How can a 60mm become a 90mm on a full frame camera"

The "digital factor" makes it to have a field of view of 90mm if using a 35mm camera or a full frame digital. Only the center of the sensor is used since the lens was designed to use the full frame.

It couldn't. He's got it reversed.

A 60mm lens on a APS-C body gives the same coverage as a 90mm lens on a full frame body. My Micro 4/3 25mm lens gives the same coverage as a 50mm lens on a full frame body.

I get it. Has nothing to do with "current events". You're as nit picky as a goofy old lady.

They do a big business in used photo gear, buying and selling. From postings here and on other sites they have a stellar reputation.
