Welcome back to 'earthquake country'. You brought back a nice set of very colorful pictures, of which the trolley is may favorite.

If we had unlimited funds and no pets waiting at home, we would have stayed...forever. The house we rented was pure heaven, and nearby Kona, just down the hill, was certainly quaint and colorful.

I'm glad you liked the trolley Sirius and certainly hope you enjoy the rest of the adventure as it's posted.

Don't you just love it when someone goes on vacation and comes back with tons of shots that they want to share?

After two weeks on the "Big Island" and the best vacation ever, I have returned with close to 4,000 shots and have spent hours editing. My shutter finger is worn out and my eyes are crossing, but here goes, the first installment for those who are brave enough to look.

I will start with views from various towns, some taken from the car with the little Olympus point and shoot. The colors in the towns were eye-catching.

Keep up the good work! I was on the big island in 1987. So far I didn't see anything I recognized. We stayed at the Kona Inn Hotel and everything from the meals to the room itself was great. Lots of banyon trees along the roadway to the hotel.
Regards,
Ted

I'll look at them all. Having been there, these shots bring back nice memories for me. And, nice work with these. I'll await more.
