So, who exactly do you think this is helping? Who is helping the poor and the lower middle class recover from all the high gas prices the past 2 1/2 years? Are they going to be reimbursed? Gas prices are still higher than they were before Biden took over office.

Most likely, so is rent under grandmother's house.

you're right but
in Jan 2020 the average price was 2.57 ( inflated to today's dollars that is 3.11 or 3 percent lower than today's price) no big deal

it is all about supply /demand not politics

I don’t read or open PM from frauds. A coward sends PMs to others who don’t care to read their BS.

You are so scared of truth and facts so you make up your own

and avoid anyone trying to tell you differently.

Look at both sides - if people who paid higher prices than now get reimbursed, then those who got a higher COLA last year for this year's lower inflation should pay the extra back? Or maybe they can use it as an offset (reimbursement) for last year's prices that the prior year's COLA didn't cover? You figure it out! You do the math and the administration and figure out if your suggestion has any value.

You just don’t get it do you? Inflation has nothing to do with the fact that these people are hurting because of the gas prices being so high even today. What exactly does inflation have to do with affordability?

What does this have do with the poor and lower middle class being hurt by higher has prices the last 2.5 years? You obviously are not concerned about those that are affected.

Distribution of diminished funds due to inflation?

There is also so foolish whining using gas prices as an excuse. For example, people complain about possibly not being able to take a car trip because gas is a dollar a gallon more than last year. If you take a thousand mile trip and get 20mpg, that means an expense of $50 dollars more. If that's a possible deal breaker, staying home just might be a better option. What if a tire or headlamp goes awry?

Yes, but I am specifically addressing the effects of gas prices on the poor and lower middle class who may have difficulty affording gas at the prices that they have been the last 2.5 years. Many could barely afford the prices even before that. The total accumulation of the rise in gas prices have out some in serious debt and will be that way for a long time for many. Yes lower gas prices now is a good thing for many, it still unaffordable for many others. So some gloating about a .20-.30 reduction appears insensitive to the pain of those that are suffering.

Using today's solar panels, you would need to cover your roof, backyard and front yard with panels. Even then, it would not be a viable was to charge an ev. For the foreseeable future we will rely on coal powered electric to support the grid.

Yes, but I am specifically addressing the effects ... (show quote)

So you are suggesting that we not speak of price reductions due to the fact that some still lack affordability. Gas prices and inflation are hot button topics and we are quick to speak of increased prices, so reductions deserve some "air time" as well, particularly when it has long been a political pissing contest.

We need a little positive stuff!

We're not flaunting reduced prices on after-dinner mints in Bangladesh!

On the cell end, how much it is theoretically possible to increase the power per square foot would depend on the efficiency of current cells. !00% would be the limit, and that will never be possible. Technology does change, and very quickly, but it will never be possible to get more out than you put in.

And don't forget providing for bad weather. Power storage of this magnitude is expensive.
