I am still waiting to see if what they originally quoted matches my final quote. I have to say they seem fairly responsive. I received a msg when they received my old lenses, and then another email saying how long it would take to evaluate (5-8 business days) which seems reasonable. I should have the answer by the end of this week but almost everyone on this web site says MPB pretty much sticks to their original estimates of the value of the used equipment you sell them.

If they satisfy all your inquiries and needs, then you can still deal with MPB. It really shouldn't take 5-8 days to evaluate most gear, but I have no idea how busy they are, and how much staff they have to handle everything, so you can give them the benefit of the doubt on the timetable.
When I trade in gear to my fav mom and pop dealer , Allen's Camera in Levittown, Pa., outside Philly ( a fav dealer also of Jared Polin , youtube's Froknows, and where he got his start) they can evaluate it in a day or two. I guess part of that is they know from experience how well I take care of my gear, much of it originally bought at Allen's.
I have never dealt with MPB so I have no reason to doubt you and others here who report good and bad from them. . You can always get estimated quotes from other reputable dealers and see who might give you the most for your gear. .
Cheers and best to you
To the list of satisfactory resellers, I would like to add UsedPhotoPro (the used camera wing of Roberts Camera). As a favor to a neighbor, I sent them a bundle of camera gear, and they sent back a check for more than the original estimate. Quick turnaround as well. I ave purchased several items from them as well.
I've only bought a couple things from MPB, but all were exactly as described...Will buy from them again
I have had nothing but excellent service from MPB. The pictures they show of an item on line are the actual pictures of the item. Every purchase I made was exactly as described and shown. Call them - they are reasonable people. I did have reason to question them on an item I was sending in for trade and they were very responsive and complete in their answers, which arrived at, at least for me, an acceptable outcome. A few months back they had a blip in service as they were moving locations. This has passed. Sorry your experience was a poor one.

And yet another DIRTY LAURDRY post here on UHH. When will it all end.
Speaking of laundry, I washed my sheets yesterday, if anyone was looking for an update. What are people eating for breakfast today?
I heard Abes of Maine has GREAT prices on breakfast too. Try Danish but glaze sauce is extra

I have been buying all of my gear from Allen's Camera in Levittown PA for many years. Although Allen passed a while ago, his son Brandon runs the business now. All of the folks there are wonderful and everything is a great experience. I purchase new, and some used stuff, from them. If you are on the other coast, they will ship free on the new stuff. A more personal experience than the big guys. Best of luck.

I've purchased and traded several lenses and bodies with MPB snd never had an issue. They have been slow to answer emails of late. Perhaps a telephone call is in order.
