Gun ownership and use of guns flow from the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
Recently, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the Second Amendment means what it says, that citizens have a right to keep and bear arms.

Due to limited budgets, most police agencies cannot afford self firing guns. And the cretins shooting innocents are just misguided youth from an underprivileged backgrounds. The sperm donor that brought them into life hasn't been seen since and mama has to keep busy amusing her latest man and has no time for the poor little lamb.

The second amendment was so that the government wouldn't have a standing army. I think that's been out of the bag for a while now.

Yep. Some folks have never become acquainted with a behavior model for contact with the police.
This onlooker has suggested elsewhere that the school system should teach youngsters the importance of cooperating with the police.
Instead, the youngsters appear to have learned their contrary behavior from ignorant others who glorify defiance of the police.

I believe that in some segments of society, indiscriminate sex and lack of concern for the progeny of such behavior is some sort of innate compulsion. Further, how many children he has produced with how many different women it seems to be a source of pride among some males.

I live on a rural road leading uphill to what I call "Little Appalachia". One Saturday afternoon, a car came down from up there and stopped right next to my house. I was on the glassed-in porch and watched two obviously drunk or coked-up nuckleheads climb out of their car and then proceed to fire a small caliber hand gun back up the road. They got back in their car and drove off. The nearest house was a ways up so no one was in any immediate danger. I noted the car and plate and called 911 and made my report.
3 hours later two state troopers rolled into my yard. I told them what I observed and they took it from there. The troopers knew who this was and tracked him down and cited him.
While I have firearms that would of tipped the balance in my favor, I choose not to engage them. But if I had known that a police response was three hours away, it might of been a different story if things had gotten out-of-hand.
