I am 72 and I am very excited about the direction where Obama is trying to go..The first president I was afraid of was Ronald Regan... Not just for the well being of me and mine but for the beautiful country we had before him...We all have our point of view and that is exactly why we served our country in the military..I do not share your opinion of our president , but served in the U.S. Navy to protect that right for all citizens.... Blessings to you and yours A.

I fear that the United States will never be able to recover from this and we probably should be prepared to defend our Christian faith against those who will ultimately overtake our beloved country.

While I agree with Secession emotionally, pragmatically I have to disagree. Washington would keep what military there is and any resources there are and leave individual states with no way to defend themselves. With no heavy defense the present gvt would simply invade and force the secessionists into servitude, the last time they did it was in 1865. With that being said, smcgee, don't turn loose of your guns and amunition if you really intend to defend you Christian faith because they do intend to eliminate it from the earth if possible by any means they can come up with including a nucular one.

Obama appointed two 'anti-gun' judges to the supreme court.
Obama placed two 'devout muslims' in high positions in homeland security.
We don't need to go into Obama's beleifs and goals as we all know what they are, some of us refuse to accept that.

Yes, we are living in very dangerous times.

'When I grew up' it was instilled in me that I respect my President. I may not like who is in office, but they represent the country I live in and as such I stand behind them and do what I can to help my country. I see so much hate
now and it is tearing this nation of ours apart. Welcome to the Civil War of
2012.

I agree. I didn't like Bush and everyone knows how that turned out but I sucked it up and dealt with it. I personally think SOME of the republican leaders and SOME republican far right people are wack jobs. It sounds like it's more important to see this country go down the tubes because they hate this president so much and will justifie their point. What are some of the people on this sight and others going to do if the country actually turns around. Will they still find hateful things to find wrong. The republican party needs to get rid of the tea baggers and then take a hard look on how they feel about ALL the American people.

I've already checked out the reports and the new estimates are being re-evaluated because of Sandy. Nice Try BMAC but we are not that dumb.

Excerpt from:

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/11/15/Surprise-Jobless-Claims-Up-Over-75000

"Some of the new claims, especially in New Jersey, were due to Hurricane Sandy--but these were offset by a decline in claims filed in New York. The highest numbers of new filings came from Pennsylvania and Ohio, where there were thousands of layoffs in the construction, manufacturing, and automobile industries.
Both states had been targeted by the presidential campaigns.

President Obama highlighted his record of job creation in Ohio in particular, focusing on the automobile industry. The state reported 6,450 new jobless claims in the week after the election--second-highest after Pennsylvania, which recorded 7,766 new claims."

I never said, nor would say, that you and Hunter Lou are dumb. Not being well informed at times, perhaps, but not dumb.

You haven't checked all the reports as the highest number of new jobless claims were from Pennsylvania and Ohio. Sandy may account for claims from New Jersey, which, interestingly, were offset by a dip in claims from NY.

Here's a link to the article detailing the spike in poverty rate from 2010 to 2011 that just came out. Sandy hit in 2012.

http://washington.cbslocal.com/2012/11/15/census-u-s-poverty-rate-spikes-nearly-50-million-americans-affected/

I merely point these figures out to underline how we must get behind the President to help him overcome the nation's ills and move "forward." We should not use the excuse that he inherited the lousy economy from the last President and his administrations four years in office.

Oh....wait..scratch that last statement from above.

the econonmie is getting better is it at a fast rate no what the heck does that have to do with all the hateful things being said and sucession. Bush nearly put us in ruin and no one claimed to want sucession. Now Rodmey claiming he lost because of all the gifts Obama has given. I want to see one republican who hasn't exepted help from the goverment in some shape or form. Get over it Rodmey the crazy right wing and his group lost. Even some sane republicans went on the news to denounce some of the crazyness and want to get to work to get things moving. its totally insane how crazy the tea party is, and their mind set is beyond comperhension. I am for some of the republican ideas but the extreme right wing crazies need to live on another planet. I say stop the bullshit complaining and get to work on making changes. Its not the hispanic, black, young people and white librals fault that Rodmey lost. The republican ideas and base need to grow up to the currant times and stop blamming the rest of america for its problems.

I siad nothing about inherited I siad " We all put up with what Bush did to this country and no one came up the crazy idea of sucession and Bush trashed this country we all lived with it"

first lets see if the Republicans will at least sign a bill to not tax the middle class or will it be over the cliff. Then we will see if there will be progress or the same as usual.

"A corporation whose part owner gave $2 million to a group committed to re-electing President Obama announced this week that it will be forced to lay off more than 1,000 employees in lieu of the financial hardship imposed by the presidentÂ’s signature health care law."
