Just wacthed a spot on ABC where some states are trying to petition to suceed. Is this possible? Are we living in dangerous times? A friend of mine is a prepper I thought he was just a nut but I am starting wonder if he has a point. He also claims that Russia is waiting in the wings for us to just collapes under our own pressures. I would like to here your thoughts on this. This site has a good sample of everyone across the country.

AND, sad to say, I do NOT expect it to get any better... There are so many, TOO many who do not know ANYTHING about the Consitution and the fiscal realities and fall pits.. There are SO many from foreign countries ( and this country) who THINK that big Government is good Government and that a good Government should take care of their lazy ass... I could say more, but you get my general drift.......

This stuff is really not that new, there has been a group trying to secede for years located in Vermont. People have, and have wished, to secede from places all across the globe throughout history.

It will all pass here, nothing to get excited about. 8-)

Hi Dave,

I don't want to sound alarmist saying this...I think everyone can see that these are dangerous times. I strongly disagree with the direction the administration is taking us both economically and from a foreign policy standpoint. That said, it's not our generation I fear for, we still have enough military strength and wealth to manage, but both are in decline. Our children and their children after them are in for a really tough time of it. Aside from the areas I mentioned above, the crushing weight of the National Debt (which I will bet with ANYONE will surpass $20T by 2016) is a much bigger issue than the liberals would like us to believe.

America's best days are in the rear view mirror unless we find someone with the charisma to persuade the nation that we are on a path that will spell the demise of this once mighty nation. We need to stop talking about gay marriage, pot and "climate change" (it's the normal course of things people...stop looking for human causes and deal with it). We have to live within our means cutting the amount of money the government spends. They should do exactly as Romney said and ask, "is this really worth borrowing from China" to do? There's at least a Trillion in waste and spending that can be eliminated. Simplify the tax code so revenues rise on lower rates (yes this will work) and make sure we are strong militarily and energy independent.

It doesn't mean I don't want to help those in need it just means we can only afford to do so much.

I'm with you on this one! I've been doing some research on the "Preppers". They're not all a bunch of crackpots! it makes some sense to be prepared not just for the direction that the U S is headed but the earth as well!
