Our very possible, probable downfall is from unchecked capitalism and our built-in racism; make money at any expense while hurting others, and some human beings acting and thinking they are superior to other human beings.

This county maybe the greatest civilization every seen but we also have many, many very, very dark past activities, two of which continues today.

Instead of continuing to export our ideals and point fingers at injustices in other countries, perhaps we need to clean up our own "backyard?"

Well said. The vicious attacks on our President during his first four years and now the recent attacks suggest that the far right wingers have not learned a lesson yet. It may need a complete scrubbing out of politics of those hindends in 2014. The common sense electoret needs to take control of the election process and clean house in 2014. It can be done all we have to do is take action and start right now.

Well he might have a couple of good points. Todd Akin and like minded people are an embarrassment to have on a Science committee. However disbelief in Global Warmism is not necessarily one of the reasons since global warmism has morphed into a religion of a sort where believers cherry pick science to fit their agenda. Remember, climate is not weather unless it advances the agenda.

The point about the debt may be legitimate but strikes as insincere coming from a lefty. Tax revenue went up after his cuts but spending went up even more because of the compromises he had to make with the Democrats.

I'm with you "overthemoon" Let's get off the subject. President Obama won fair and square. No matter how someone voted is not the question now. We all need to work together and move this country forward and that includes those who make over $250,000 a year.
