I am a 74 year old Texan...and I think secession is a pretty good idea...However, that will not solve our problems. Unfortunately, we are now subject to another four years of absolute horror. For those who were so uninformed or so eager for all the handouts that you voted for this horror, I hope you suffer the most. For the rest of us, we too will suffer. I fear that the United States will never be able to recover from this and we probably should be prepared to defend our Christian faith against those who will ultimately overtake our beloved country.

Obama appointed two 'anti-gun' judges to the supreme court.
Obama placed two 'devout muslims' in high positions in homeland security.
We don't need to go into Obama's beleifs and goals as we all know what they are, some of us refuse to accept that.

Yes, we are living in very dangerous times.

'When I grew up' it was instilled in me that I respect my President. I may not like who is in office, but they represent the country I live in and as such I stand behind them and do what I can to help my country. I see so much hate
now and it is tearing this nation of ours apart. Welcome to the Civil War of
2012.

I agree. I didn't like Bush and everyone knows how that turned out but I sucked it up and dealt with it. I personally think SOME of the republican leaders and SOME republican far right people are wack jobs. It sounds like it's more important to see this country go down the tubes because they hate this president so much and will justifie their point. What are some of the people on this sight and others going to do if the country actually turns around. Will they still find hateful things to find wrong. The republican party needs to get rid of the tea baggers and then take a hard look on how they feel about ALL the American people.

What about those of us who live in "Dixie" that don't want to secede? Especially those of us who live in the blue state of Florida?

You do what the people in the Southern States did in 1861-65.
You remain loyal to your State no matter your personal feelings.
The farmers, laborers, poor people who owned no slaves didn't have a financial reason to fight for the South, but they did out of loyalty.
Besides that, they just didn't like Damn Yankees anymore than we do today. God Bless Texas and the South.

Is there anyway to bring this nation together as one, of same heart - of same mind? To say get the hell outa here and don't forget to let the door kick you in your ass is as good a way as any I guess.

A post from a friend on my facebook(: I like it

I think we should allow them to all secede. Then we can see which approach actually works. I wonder where people would move to. I also wonder how each division would protect themselves and their interest. Let's create a Conservative state and a liberal state. Split the resources and compete for the talent. Maybe Wisconsin could be our own little Switzerland.

Socialism in Switzerland hasn't turned out as expected. You are half way there.

Just wacthed a spot on ABC where some states are trying to petition to suceed. Is this possible? Are we living in dangerous times? He also claims that Russia is waiting in the wings for us to just collapes under our own pressures. I would like to here your thoughts on this. History shows that every great civilization sows the roots for its own downfall from within.
