James your photos are always the best, what kind of camera do you use.
I would love to take photos of this caliber. You are outstanding.

Thanks Wesso. These were taken with a Sony RX10IV. Most are in camera HDR's.

Hi Folks, had the privilege of photographing this beautiful aircraft today and thought I'd share a few snap shots. Haven't had much of anything to post lately, so I sure hope you enjoy these. Also, hope everyone has a good Memorial Day holiday and thanks for stopping by.
Shot with a Sony RX10M4, jpgs at 16:9 widescreen, processed with Photoshop Elements 10.

The B-17's are fascinating aircraft with a lot guns on board and carried a lot of ammo and about a half dozen large bombs as well. They have the large tailfin and tail gunner & ball gunner underneath and that is also quite unique to this aircraft.

Yours is a beauty. I like it.

Great photos. To think they made almost 12,000 of these great planes. Only a few exist.

Thanks for sharing! That is my favorite warbird from WWII. The B-17's were awesome!

I have a pilot buddy, former airline pilot, who is a member of the Confederate Airforce and is certified to fly any WWI or WWII plane. I sent him a link to your photos and I know he will appreciate them. I certainly liked them. Thanks for sharing.

It's now called the Commemorative Air Force due to some people being offended by the word 'confederate.' Personally I think it's an appropriate change...not because I'm from the south (Born in Cubs territory) but because the squadron commemorates the historic aircraft used in different theaters.
