As per your sometimes normal you are reading my post wrong or are building something up that isn't there.

I am not whining about being blocked. Making a statement doesn't necessarily constitute a whine about a subject. I am simply pointing out that twice in the past week I have seen the person make statements in The Attic. When I wrote rebuttal pieces to those statements I discovered I was blocked. No whine there; only a wondering of why. I am honestly over it and won't reply to the gentleman in the future but I do have a right to be curious as to what I might have done especially when I see others calling him all kinds of names etc. and they aren't blocked. But it is just a curiosity on my part. I will live through it. Now if you want to get all uppity like somebody else does and make a huge thing that I am angry and shocked and so on then help yourself. I will still be just fine.

As you have seen before I have done part of trying to get people to act more civilized. Maybe you should be the leader and work on your side as well. They certainly need it, don't you think? Nothing looks dumber than to see people of all ages but mostly 40--80 getting their knickers in a wad because they are angry over something they can't change. None of the crap on this part of the forum means anything to begin with. Your side will say Obama was the greatest President since sliced bread. We will point out many circumstances where we feel he is a liar, traitor, and so on but none of that will change your mind will it? Same thing with George Bush and Donald Trump. We think they were great with some flaws. You think they were absolutely trash. So what. Who gives a damn? You won't change my mind nor I yours. So why get all pissy and call names etc.

I feel great that nobody calls me names. But I don't call anybody else names either. If I treat people with respect I generally get it back. If I treat them like shit then I get shit back. Easy how that works out.

If you are talking about blocking someone I have no idea if both sides do it or not. I have never been blocked by anyone in my life. In my line of work everyone has either come up to me and said they have a problem with something I said or did. They were a man/woman/adult about it. I have never heard of blocking someone for anything. I did the same thing if I had a problem with someone. I would simply go up to them and say, I think we are having a personal problem and I wanted to get with you to see if we can't iron it out. I have done that with both male and female convicts when it seemed there was somewhat of a personal problem between us, more than just a convict not liking staff because we wear different uniforms. Usually it worked just fine.

I have never said Conservatives are always civil, respectful and never insult anyone. NEVER. Apparently you have not been paying attention to the Attic threads because you will notice I have on many occasions spoken to both sides questioning why people act like 6th graders in calling the other side the most foul names just because we don't agree on a political candidate. Check with your Liberal friends or Conservative enemies and they will all tell you the same thing. Even in this thread I believe I have mentioned the very same idea. So what is your beef. I treat everyone equally on this thread. Yet here you are looking for something to make out like I am approving of Conservatives calling Liberals foul names but complaining/whining about Liberals calling Conservatives foul names. Take another look my friend. You are full of the proverbial crap. Now if you want to feel insulted then you help yourself to all the insults you want. I said I didn't call people names. Who am I insulting, Liberals? If you believe that fits you and yours then I guess it might be. It was not meant to be any insult but more of a reflection on life these days. I was talking about one person specifically. I know the person in question has called people names and others have called him names. I have not done any such thing yet he blocks me. What would you think? Do you personally block people rather than carry on discussions with them? Isn't The Attic all about opposing viewpoints? If contributors have such a thin skin maybe their doctor should prescribe, NO ATTIC, for health reasons.
