Linda, I can't tell you anything about the camera except that in the right hands it obviously takes great pictures. I love the crisp feel of 1 and also the composition. The texture really made the second pleasing as well. At first I wasn't crazy about 3 - maybe because the fog hides so much of the foreground. However, after looking at the download I decided it is pretty cool. There is a lot more detail than I realized at first glance.

Carol, thank you so much for taking the time to download and discover the details I'm glad you enjoyed my juvie bald eagle (one of three in that stand of trees, with 25 or more in the canyon right now!), and also that you enjoyed #1. The air was very clear and still for that one, with near golden hour light, and I was quite pleased with the result.

If you download #1, you'll see a good representation of my new-to-me (gently used) mirrorless camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC-G7 with 14-140 mm lens. I'm enjoying it a lot so far!

#2 was in heavy fog + has a texture added. #3 was just plain foggy All shot in raw and edited in PS Elements and Nik Color Efex.

Constructive feedback and tips regarding the camera would be welcomed.

Thanks for viewing!

Nicely done... my favorite is #3.... that is a difficult shot to get right (like a polar bear in a snow storm). Really cool :) On #1 the crop is good... did you ever try shifting you aspect ratio to 16:9? I have been playing with that for some landscapes. to get the results like the perspective in #1. ANYWAYS

Thank you Frankie! I have never tried 16:9, seems a bit too restrictive to me, though no doubt I've ended up cropping that way at times and not even realized

I am sure that there are some that believe your not shooting with a "real camera". I say shots like these prove otherwise. Although I like all three shots, the first one just really grabs me. Great shots.

That is one great camera to begin your foray into m4t; recently traded a Canon M3 and a G7F for a SONY a7; Panasonic used to, don't know if they still are, make the small Leicas...that was why I made my decision to by Panasonic. At one time I owned 4 different Lumix models... carry on...

Wow...the first one is outstanding and so beautiful linda! I love the eagle shot. The compositions of all three are the best. I hope you have tons of fun with your new camera!

As I am a mirrorless camera user(OlympusMD) I was most interested to see your great shots on a 3:2 aspect .

Welcome to the world of micro 4/3. I have three, two Olympus and the Panasonic G7. I have bought several ART lenses to go with these as they are interchangeable but I Think that my initial lenses were 14-42 and 40-150. All of the shots are wonderful but I am intrigued by number one. Such clarity and such lovely country to be able to photograph ....wow . I really should do more with Raw. You push my buttons to want to try,! Very nice job as always . Oh and your aspect ratio change to 3.2 is also a very interesting point to look into for landscape

Beautiful set, Linda. Great ad for mirrorless, it makes me wonder why I am carrying a camera the size of a toaster.

These are really nice photos, Linda. Does this mean you'll be retiring the SX 50 and 60?

Thank you! Mirrorless are just as much a "camera" as a Hasselblad is
