Somehow new equipment brings new inspiration. The images are beautiful. Of course that only happens when the new camera winds up in the right hands ... this one sure did.

Thank you! I finally got around to reading the user manual and have found a couple of features I love: one is I can see the scene in b&w through the viewfinder (but it still shoots in color, though I do raw anyway). For me, this is a great aid in seeing the composition for shapes, shadows and so forth, rather than being distracted by color

Thanks! I just tried that and it works. What a great idea.

One of the things I'm exploring is shooting short clips and pulling individual frames from the clips. It not for landscapes, but it is a surprise what can be in a 8MP JPEG.

Another is the rapid exposure bracketing. It is so quick that HDR merges from hand held shooting actually work.
