Uta, good for you! That's a big step.
The camera has two cards. A big square one, that's a CF card. And a smaller card, that's an SD card.
Make sure you Format both before the first use. I don't erase them, I always Format in-camera to erase them. Never had a problem after starting that routine. I lost several before that. Don't mix them from camera to camera without doing an in-camera Format.
Good luck and enjoy the amazing detail you are going to start seeing.
Review your shots on the LCD at 10x magnification to get an idea of what it takes to get a sharpe image. That learning curve is a little tougher than a 17mp camera!!! LoL

Check B&H Photo or Adorama online and see if they have them is my best advise...
