Admin asked for opinions, I replied. Now you feel the right to ask me to justify my opinion. If I may, as politely as I can, simply reply to you, "None of your d#$% business why I care or even if I care. Stuff it!"

Now there's a well thought out and manly response!! You are a man....., right?!

Good morning. You still do not get it. Let me repeat: I named no one. This assertion means that I did not name you or single you out. Thus, no attempt to kill you as the messenger exists.

Yes, I described a mentality, yet never referred to you. But if the shoe fits, wear it.

Nice try, though, trying to insert yourself into the middle here as a target of criticism toward prudes and fanatics.

This tactic only diverts from discussion of the subject matter, to personalize it in order to stifle objectivity.

I have to give thanks to the naysayers on this thread. In this day and age where it seems like NOBODY CARES, it's good to see someone that cares actually have the guts to speak up and say so.

I didn't think of it as a personal attack and still don't. it isn't an ad hominen account. I was pointing out that both you and anotherview are arguing for "do it my way" even if both of you have opposite views. At least you are engaging the argument which is a good thing.

Did you take a look at Bobby Deals posts? Was there anything that stood out as objectionable?

If the new boudoir section can maintain the professionalism that Bobby demonstrated and the the people that responded to his threads then there is a lot to be learned as long as a mature attitude is maintained it shouldn't be a problem.

I don't see this as being an X rated section perhaps PG as a certain maturity needs to be demonstrated. I would hope that both men and women would be involved in the section both as photographers and models. Just having a female presence will help ensure good behaviour and as I have repeatedly stated there should be no ambushing which essentially means keeping images out of the general latest pictures feed.

As long as the section is not creating problems for people who do not want to go there what is there to complain about?

Mr Bobby Deal set a high standard for all participants on the proposed Boudoir Section to meet. I suspect too many will not even try to meet that standard, actually I would wager some would intentionally aim for the opposite end of the benchmark.

Also, please note, Bobby Deal posted his work in the People Section. If he, Bobby Deal, set the standard you believe the participants of the proposed Boudoir Section will meet, then why do you need a separate segregated section? People Section is open for use.

Suddenly you are an expert at this type of photography and also somehow know the abilities of all of the participants. Or are you doing the ass-u-me thing?
Bobby, the Captain, Brett and others have posted in the People section for a lack of a more appropriate place to post. And so what if not everybody is as good a Bobby? That's why everyone will be there, to learn and get better. At one time all sports, bif, Christian etc were all posted in the same place and all now have a place of their own. I too have posted in the People section but I rarely do because I don't feel it's the correct venue for Model style photography.
So I take it you were fervently opposed to creating a Christian section when it was created? Or are you just selectively biased depending on your moral whims?
I completely understand why the MPD needs to stay clean. If that section were to start to deteriorate into non-workplace friendly images, as per Admin, I understand why it's important to keep it family friendly. But a section that you ACTUALLY need to subscribe to will NEVER be on your screen unless you choose to be there. And if you choose to be there and your boss/granduaghter walks by, that completely your irresponsibility.
But to oppose a section that I assume you will never use is purely your personal baggage problem. Quietly stay away from such a section if it offends your fragile sensibilities. You and a few others here are just barking in the night because it somehow scares you. It scares you that the world will start to crumble from that very corner. It will not. This is not something that you and the opponents need to worry your pretty little heads over. It won't actually hurt you in any way, so as long as you stay away.
And what consenting adults do in there own little boudoir, as per the rules set up by Admin, you do not need have a responsibility to control.
Just because people think differently than you does not make them wrong by their standards.
Within your own house, you can rule to your hearts content, BUT, this is NOT your house!!! This is the house that Admin built and you are merely a guest in it like all the rest of us!!!! And as guests, we are ALL EQUAL HERE to practice our beliefs as we are given the right to do.

OK, let's give this a try.

I'm not going to announce the section yet. Let's run it for a bit and see how it goes. After that, I'll think of a better way to post an announcement.

Very good points.
I wonder at the intelligence of those who refuse to grasp the fact that they don't have to look at something they don't want to see; and my own intelligence for staying here.

Kudos for taking this initiative, which as I said before is really a win/win. I have faith that the section will police itself through user submissions and commentary. Those opposed to the content need not pop in; those opposed to the principle of freedom of expression and choice can do whatever they feel is best for them.

Are you planning on moving the entire thread of discussion to date to the new section? That would certainly allow people to post the range of images seen here earlier to help establish guidelines, but it would mean the dissenters of having such a section would have to venture in to voice their disagreement. But the latter really is a moot point now that you have made your decision.

Again, let me say I think you took the logical -- and right -- approach.

I would like to thank Admin for a job correctly and well done. And that it came from Admin and not one of us, speaks volumes of the direction and quality that Admin would like this Forum to go.
As the Sections get more unique and in demand versus other Forums, it will bring with it the kind of participation that will allow all of us to grow at what we love to do.

I will say, that working with unknown to us Models, is NOT the stuff of rank amatuer GWACS. A Model has to either really like you work a lot or like your money, depending on why they are agreeing to work with you.
This will be a great section. These types of photographers are usually pretty good and have knowledge of light, composition and a good overall eye.
I think we will make Admin proud to call this section a part of UHH!
Thanks Admin!!! THUMB-UP

But jeez, why do I have to feel that this is a victory for the First Amendment!! LoL

How so?: "somebody disagrees with you and you stoop to name calling." I named nobody. Please stop inventing things.

BTW: By now you may've noticed the Administrator commenced a new section allowing photographs of nudes, boudoir poses, and like photography. His doing so should tell an impartial viewer that evidently he sided with the adults who favored a section for boudoir photography. Your moralizing had no apparent effect on this decision.

Worse, as soon as it was announced, the minority view, scurried back under their rocks and haven't been seen or heard from again!!
AND, they threw Morality, Religion AND Politics at it. Typical tricks!
Dogma must be kept on a leash!!!

To be fair once the section was created the debate was pretty much over.

Incidentally The subscribe button has a hidden feature. If you subscribe to the new section then photo's from that section will appear in the Newest Pictures Link if you unsubscribe from the section it won't.

It may work for other sections I haven't tested it yet.
