A vertical crop on #1 with the bird more in the upper left and eliminating the flower might work...fine shot at any rate!

I like #1 and I agree with you. I like the flower and wouldn't remove it.

Hi Harve. I am going to jump in and say this is the best one.:) The crop makes every thing show up better and has less clutter.:) Oh! Great shot by the way.:)

I like the first shot because the cardinal's head is turned more toward the camera.
