Which Shot??

Caught this little Male Cardinal in the bush...was able to get a couple of shots before he flew...these shots are cropped. Which do you like better and how might you crop differently...thanks!

#1 because you see more of the face & beak. Sure do love this bright pop of red! I wouldn't crop; it looks great in this pretty setting with natural framing.

#1, but remove the branches from his body, and crop out the white flower because it competes with the bird for attention.

Thanks Linda...Here is what I began with in terms of crop possibities, for both shots...thoughts?

For #1 maybe just give the bottom branch a bit more room. Otherwise, I like how you cropped. But if you need a certain ratio for print/frame, etc. that will inform your decision too :)

The way they are cropped, I would say #1 for sure. You can see more of his face.

With some judicious cloning, some of the "extra" branches can be removed for a less crowded feel.
