Just wondering what type of shooting most photogs do here on the forum and with what type of gear you use.

Love the landscapes of the rural spaces and national parks and use an APS-C sensor Nikon with an 18-200mm multi-use lens. Also have a 12-28mm lens for waterfalls and other tight shots. Since I live on the east coast but love traveling the western side of the country, most of my photography is taken on the fly (so to speak) and I have to travel light for the airlines. Versatility is essential for me when it comes to equipment.

It's easier to say what I don't shoot: man-made stuff. I generally use a full frame DSLR and prime lenses.

I shoot everything except macro. Nature, landscape, sports, portrait, product and very occasionally a wedding.
I use a Canon with everything from 17mm-600mm covered. ;-)

I do not fit into anything as I am not especially interested into a specific area of photography.

Long ago I was into portraiture.

Equipment used varies depending on mood more than subject. Mostly Nikon stuff for the camera and Metz for the flashes the rest, well either cheap throw away stuff or decade long work horses like my Velbon tripod (25 years old).

I shoot raw only and PP everything just because I can.

I'll shoot almost anything that keeps me entertained. Sports, landscapes, people, architecture, birds (not very well) and studio fun stuff. I have a Nikon D-7000 and I use a Tokina 11-66,Nikkor 35mm f/1.8, Nikkor 50mm f/ 1.4, Nikkor 85mm f/1.8, Nikkor 28-300, and Sigma 150-500mm. I also use a tripod for a lot of my work.

I like to shoot abandoned buildings, macro, other odd, inanimate objects. No people or sports.
I use a DF for full frame and a D7000 when I shoot macro.

Anything but people. The creatures of nature don't care about hair, facial expressions etc.
