I like to travel so I usually snap photos of scenery wherever I am. Like to visit old churches and I take photos of people at dinner parties!
Purchased a Nikon D7100 last week! I was away on a trip when it arrived, so now I am working my way through the ton of junk that accumulated, then I will be able to devote the next few days with my new baby.
I am basically a photography junkie and I have quite a few cameras in my collection to also include the Nikon D5100, D40x and the Canon SX50. My 9 y/o nephew has shown a great interest in the art of photography so I will pass the D40X to him. I let him shoot with any of my cameras when we are together so I can keep an eye on him and the equipment! Lol
When are going to have a lot of photo time together because I will pick him up from Va and we will spend about 6wks together! Glad that I am able to teach him some things about DSLR cameras as well as techniques so he will be ahead of the game as he gets older!! Just thought I would share this info because I am proud of him and his love of the ART and about my new D7100!!
Love UHH!!

Just wondering what type of shooting most photogs do here on the forum and with what type of gear you use.
Landscapes and seascapes first and foremost. A little portraiture here and there. A certain amount of fine art (surrealism and such).
Don't do much commercial anymore. Do not do weddings or sports....or is that a redundancy? ;-)
Still thinking about a "theme" project to occupy some of my time.
I try to become a better sports shooter with each shoot,
I attempt to accomplish with a Canon 1ds Mark ii, 7D, and any lens I have in my bag from 24 to 100-400 mm lengths, (I keep hoping the lens fairy has left either a 300 2.8, or 400 2.8 lens and I check often)
I am going to check with SharpShooter to see where to harvest all the good nekked women. Since I follow high school teams one of my hardest chores is acne removal, but at the same time leave the scruffy beard growth.
One good thing about shooting sports no studio rental fees, more times than usual game fees have to be paid at the gate, at my age some tournaments allow me in free, and people under 12
