Gentlemen..............nice thread. Everything you said about our Moron in Chief is true. He not only is trying at every move to destroy this nation, he is the epitimy of evil. Maybe to the point of an Anti-Christ, someone who is against Christ. All you need to do is look at his actions, "By his actions you shall know them".

And that is the truth!

If he were only destroying something he, himself built, we could all just stand by, laughing and smiling. Unfortunately, that is not the case.
While I think it speaks well of America that a black president was elected (and that is not the problem), the particular president, with his particular designs on OUR country, is a huge problem. I can't personally relate to his spitefulness toward OUR country, and OUR citizens, but I can recognize hatred when I see it. I see no reason whatsoever to respect this individual, or what he's doing to our treasured America.

I was hoping to have the opportunity to vote for Colin Powell, but he was too intelligent to run for such a thankless job in a glass house.

I have paid into social security all my life... if I had been allowed to invest that money- i'd have quite a pile built up by now- all gaining interest and dividends. Instead- it was dumped into the general fund- just as Obamacare will be someday, and then they move the goal post to where I doubt I will ever see a penny. That is stealing if it were Berrie Maddof! Social security is a nothing but a giant ponsi scheme!

It is a good yardstick to how Obamacare will be handled when there isn't enough money to go around... you will absolutely be judged on what doctors, procedures, and diagnostic tests you will be deemed necessary- based on your age, quality of life and whether there is money for it. Just like the countries everyone puts forth as an example. The government does not care about you. Obama does not care about you. It is a money and power grab pure and simple.

So people who have paid into the system receiving some back as promised, is no more socialism then you putting your money in the bank and then later, making a withdraw. However, in the mind of a radical left winger- like yourself, it really isn't my money is it...

Richie, you stated that so accurately. At this point in time, most liberals do believe it is not your money. They believe it is theirs for the taking.

It's what nearly every other advanced nation has in place. Even Italy, one of the politically most conservative nations in Europe has a similar system. And spreading the wealth is a good thing, unless you happen to be an overpaid corporate CEO or banker. More money in the pockets (and thereby greater spending power) of the poor and middle class is what boosts the economy, not less. The more spending, the more is produced, and thereby more jobs, and jobs with better pay. The only ones drinking the koolaide are the ones buying into the myth of trickle down economics and how wealth needs to be further concentrated among the already wealthy.

If spreading the wealth is a good thing then I have about 16 relatives that I would like to move into your household for you to take care of. Let's spread your wealth first, let's spread Obama's wealth first. Let's at least put him and congress on the ACA. And as far as the rich getting richer and big corporations getting bigger, only the ones that support and give to the Obama cause are getting bigger for now. The unions being exempt from the ACA is a great example. And if we really think that spreading the wealth is good, why would anyone go to college and work hard to build a career that provides an above average living if it's only going to be taken away. Let's all just learn the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic and let the government take care of us. What Obama is doing will never promote spending and a better economy. Our federal government will be so bloated that our tax dollars will be wasted paying federal employees and their benefits. And, I know you can't wait for the IRS to determine if you are worthy of expensive medical treatments. When they decide that your 70 year old parent is not worth spending money on cancer treatments for them. Get your head out of the ground and pay attention to what you have said and believe. The day is coming when you will be consider useless and the federal government will decide not to spread some of the wealthy with YOU.

Glad to see you had a complete recovery! You are a blessed person, as I see many who don't evey recover 50%.

Technically wrong. The hospital will treat you but the costs of treatment will be out-of-pocket until the deductible has been met. No different from many policies today....just that the deductible may be considerably higher than your existing coverage.

Actually, here, it depends on what medical "treatment" you are receiving. If you are having a surgery that cost 15,000$, and you have ANY amount on your deductible left over, they will make you pay that amount first. They have become very strict with this as many patients in recent past have NOT paid their part. If it is a small procedure that is not horribly expensive, strangely, they will work with you on this.

2008 I was diagnosed with lymphoma. I am also a single dad of 3, and my commute to work was 2 1/2 hours EACH WAY.

I scheduled chemo for Friday nights so I would have the weekend to recuperate. Most Monday mornings I was back at work..I am NOT A MARTYR. All I'm saying is that I had no choice, this is the way I was brought up: Life can sometimes be great, and sometimes can suck. Deal with it.

Now for the racist allegations: Every person at work, and there were at least 10, who told me to go on disability was black. I got comments like "Cancer? If I ever get cancer they will never see my black a$$ back here again."

Go figure
