So what do you think will happen when the 47% of the takers in this country who are now being subsidized by the working class givers becomes 55% or worse. At some point the wealth sharing bubble has to burst. My husband and I worked long hours in our business to live fairly comfortably. We know people who have been on welfare for years and have as much as we do. I have no problem helping those who cannot work. But I do have a problem sharing my hard earned income with those who will not work. There is a huge difference.

I know the feeling. I have hardly missed a day of work in 42 years except the 3 months I was out for recovering from a stroke which left my left side disabeled. I have a full recovery and you gussed it back at work.

Don't forget about having to pay all of your new sky high deducatble before a hospital will treat you, for me that is $5,000.00.

Technically wrong. The hospital will treat you but the costs of treatment will be out-of-pocket until the deductible has been met. No different from many policies today....just that the deductible may be considerably higher than your existing coverage.

The main problem with the "Share the Wealth" idea is it requires taking away (Confiscating) from those that have earned the wealth, to give it to those that have not earned it. When a mugger does it we consider it a crime. When our government does it its considered by the Socialists as enlightened thinking.

If you're really against socialism, why do you use Medicare, collect medicaid and if your veteran, use the VA Hospital.\
How about tax breaks for senior citizens
All socialist programs.
But I guess when you're on the receiving end, it's okay.

Medicare is NOT socialism. WE all pay to have it. IT is OUR money that we are getting back that WE invested. The VA system is not for the entire public. It is for people who serves/served in the military. Maybe you should ask KW Conch what "socialism" is.

Excuse me.....As a senior citizen, working and paying taxes and Social Security since I was 14 years old, I'm not getting anything I didn't work for in my social security payments.

Also, as far as using the VA for any treatment of ailments caused by my service of 30 years, I earned the treatment and the disability payment.

I get nothing, did you read NOTHING from our government that I did not earn in my lifetime. NOTHING, not like others getting cash, EBT cards and more for working the system.

Nicely stated! And if I have not said so before, thank you for your service. It is a great sacrifice to put your life on the line for others. You and all other servicemen have my total respect!!

It has been written about in many books that conservatives are much more charitable than liberals. Why is it that liberals (socialists) want to spend everyone else's money but theirs?

Heard a good one recently:

We are always hearing about how Social Security is going to run out of money.

How come we never hear about Welfare running out of money?

Nice insiteful question!

Inept??? He got his signature legislation passed and accepted by the Supreme Court!

We're seeing him protect it against 25% of the electorate that totally lost their collective minds, all reason, any any concept of truth-telling.

Not bad, considering what he was up against.

I charge you to defend the term 'despot' with one or more specific examples.

(I know you'll just disappear for awhile in the face of responsibility.)

Hey rook, go spread your wealth over in Europe then if it's so great. Why should I have to work hard, earn some money, give more than half to Michelle Obama for vacations and to lazy slobs who abuse the welfare system? I.e. Louisiana food stamp card abuse? I did not get an education and a job so I could work so that YOU wouldnt have to. Why do I wanna pay for Obummer for the lazy slobs in this sick country who are mere leeches. And I am not talking about the truly needy. Obama and his socialist policies suck. So do the morons who voted for him.

What strange people you are. All on the dole and all in denial. Statistically people on Social Security receive more than they paid in. Statistically people using medicare have more spent on them then they paid in. In Reality, the VA Healthcare system is Socialized Medicine. The Dr's are employed by the government, work in government hospitals and use government supplies and assets.
Obamacare on the other hand pays for itself. Those that buy insurance through the exchanges pay the insurance companies and the insurance companies make a profit. Ergo, Obamacare is capitalism.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for Social Security as opposed to having our elderly eat cat food but it's still a socialist program.
Deal with it.

What people are neglecting to remember is that a majority of people believe in Obama's left wing rhetoric, and believe the country needs to change towards the left. That's what appealed to them about him.

He was a community organizer, so his "roots" are with the down trodden and oppressed; he is 1/2 black and came from a broken family, so he has an affinity for the disenfranchised, despite his Yale legal education. Read Michelle's Princeton senior thesis for some more insight.

The divisive tone of the Democratic party, pitting the haves against the have notes is the culprit IMHO. It used to be in this country you pulled yourself up by your bootstraps; now, the left has complained that the bootstraps are gone and we need to take from the rich to provide for the poor.

Maybe I was wrong in a previous post, maybe the Republic is at jeopardy.

Silly boy. I pay more in taxes than you make a year.
BTW - People pay for Obamacare according to their income so they're no different than you.
That's the problem you folks have. Some of you seem to be missing a heart and are fine watching poor people starve to death, as long as it isn't you.

Frank, you are such a tool....and not a useful one.

I have a heart, which is why this is a clusterf%*k in the makings:

1) The server capacity was inadequate to handle the load of applicants...this doesn't bode well for the future of Obamacare if they can't even get the registration process to work.

2) Healthy younger workers are supposed to help pay for older, workers, since the latter has more health issues. The problem is that younger workers, including college graduates, can't find jobs, or are chronically underemployed! So how the hell are they gonna carry the older generation?

Another government boondoggle.

Isn't the saying "The road to hell is paved with good intentions?"

PS I bet I paid more in taxes then YOU make

you probably did pay more....because Frank is SO LIBERAL I'm beginning to wonder if he really did work. It would explain why he is fighting so hard for socialism.
