If you think Obama is a socialist, your views must be far right extremist. Compared to European leaders, he's not even close to being a leftist. He caves in to corporate interests at every turn - a true capitalist.

If he were only destroying something he, himself built, we could all just stand by, laughing and smiling. Unfortunately, that is not the case.
While I think it speaks well of America that a black president was elected (and that is not the problem), the particular president, with his particular designs on OUR country, is a huge problem. I can't personally relate to his spitefulness toward OUR country, and OUR citizens, but I can recognize hatred when I see it. I see no reason whatsoever to respect this individual, or what he's doing to our treasured America.

What the hell do you think Obummercare is, if not socialism and his other proclamations of "spreading the wealth"? You must be one of the morons who drank his koolaide!

It's what nearly every other advanced nation has in place. Even Italy, one of the politically most conservative nations in Europe has a similar system. And spreading the wealth is a good thing, unless you happen to be an overpaid corporate CEO or banker. More money in the pockets (and thereby greater spending power) of the poor and middle class is what boosts the economy, not less. The more spending, the more is produced, and thereby more jobs, and jobs with better pay. The only ones drinking the koolaide are the ones buying into the myth of trickle down economics and how wealth needs to be further concentrated among the already wealthy.

A thought that goes through my head about all this and the Obummer care is:

Too many folks say 'The rest of the world is doing it' yet I don't see another system that is trying to have 50 million people pay for the 300 million that are takers without jobs and on 'Professional Welfare Status'

I don't like paying for deadbeats no matter how many times you tell me 'it's the thing to do'

If you believe that "spreading the wealth" is a good thing, rook2c4, you are absolutely allowed to spread YOUR wealth in any manner you see fit. Many wealthy people share with others willingly. In a free society, based on individual liberty, such generosity is admired, but must not be mandatory. This country, while being the most successful of all governing systems, has always been one of the most charitable in all the world.
Just because you paint your house red, doesn't make it wise to dictate all others do the same.
