Going to be cloudy in Kentucky.
So being a Newbe could anyone tell me about what settings you would use with the Canon t3i. I have never done this before. Thank you.
For those who won't be able to see it, check out the pic I posted on page 1.
Just kidding, if I could see it in person I would. Just won't happen tonight. Good luck to everyone else.

Hope you folks all get this in time to use it, but the eclipse is 4:45AM Pacific time and works out to 7:45AM Eastern. it will start around that time and last for some period of time. Good luck, Jerry
I am not in hiding, but reside in Atlanta, where I expect to see the eclipse from 7:30 AM in early dawn until it disappears. Jerry D

Do a search in UHH for moon and you will get all the past posts with detail on how to photograph the moon.
Can there be a limit of one photo per person? It is frustrating to get a photo ready and then not be able to submit it because there are too many already, epically when some people have submitted multiple photos.
Thanks for this consideration.
Cloudy in Tennessee...........no moon. I'll enjoy yours!
Started out great, then the clouds rolled in. Still waiting for a clearing. f/16,1/400,ISO 400, NIKKOR 70-300 ZOOMED TO 300.
The Seattle clouds never cleared so shot the Space Needle from my float home deck and went inside for a hot coffee. Merry Christmas to all UHH'ers.
UW Crew out early on Lake Union
