GTinSoCal suggested a photo contest for the lunar eclipse that's going to occur tomorrow.
We'll probably set up the contest either today or tomorrow morning (after the fact).
This is a pre-announcement.
So please get ready to take the eclipse pics and keep in mind that there will be a contest.

Not 100% sure but I think it can be viewed over Wisconsin at about 5:00 am sat. You might want to check to be sure

The eclipse will occur at 0605 Pacifid time. That should be 0805 Wisconsin time. The moon will be just setting in the western sky, so if you have any horizon haze, mountains or anything else obstructing the horizon, then good luck in getting any good photos.

Unfortunately Tennessee will not be in the zone to see the entire event......maybe just the beginning!! You-all up there in the far North states will just have to take some good ones and share here!

can i ask for some tips on photograhing this event? I dont normally shoot photos of the moon. Ive have a time or two and was semi happy with one photo.

I probably will not see it either. They say we are getting 2-4 inches of partly cloudy tonight and into tomorrow. But you can fly up and try Tracey :) Oh well there is always 2014, someone remind me !

Hi, It is a joke up here. The weather men are always wrong when it comes to snow. So we all say Partly cloudy and we have to move it around with shovels. :(
