A lady using flash replied, "no need to worry because I am bouncing the light off the clouds."

Chap, I'm having a little trouble believing that. Was it a pop-up?

I'd never really taken firework pictures until last year and as I had no clue where to start I thought I'd "suck it and see".

These are some I came away with and the third one shows what happens when you open the shutter on B and then sneeze . . .

Oooh...
Oooh......

Aaaah....
Aaaah.......

Ahchoo!
Ahchoo!...

I once saw someone press a camera against the window of an airliner at 35,000 feet and firs the flash.

Don't knock it. One of the tips I read about shooting fireworks is to jar the tripod as the display lights up. Variety is the spice of life.

The funniest thing I heard was on a cruise ship leaving NY harbor at night in the days of the flashcube. We were up on deck watching as the ship passed the Statue of Liberty. A woman near me was taking pictures and said to her companion, "Oh, I wish I had a flashcube."
