Note: Danbury is the nearest city.
I've never lived in Danbury, even whilst going to college, there.
I do not live in a city, it's a town.
New Fairfield is my current home, and has been since April, 1973.
So - the terms are incorrect.
New Fairfield used to be part of Greater Danbury, so - based on that - a presumption could be inferred - that I live in Danbury. ( a city)
But, truthfully - I live in a town - the Town of New Fairfield. I am not FROM New Fairfield. I LIVE in New Fairfield. If I have to be classed as being FROM somewhere - the first answer would be England, where I was born. The second could be considered Virginia - where we all lived when we first came to America.
The third would be Newtown
