I am listed as a new member, however I have been on the forum for some 8 or 10 years as pyromaniac, email changed and got excommunicated. Saw some comments that photography is just drawing with light. True. Good lighting is easy to see but sometimes devilishly difficult to recreate. Once we were in a dark room watching some friends movies, someone opened the door leading into a well lit hallway and the incoming ray of light lit 1/2 of the face of a very pretty lady surrounded by absolute total black. Great shot but no way to get it. Setup would require some very selective metering which along with the lighting creativity which couild be done but the spontanuity and mood of the moment was gone forever. But I would like to try, A really great photo is sometimes just pure dumb luck.
