Occupaion: retired teacher Interests: reading, writing, photography Biography: I guess I'll stick to my history as a photographer. Like probably everyone, I had my share of plastic point-and-shoot cameras. Then my father gave me the Zeiss Ikon he had liberated during World War II. I still have it, but what a challenge it is to use well, with its uncoated lens. Eventually I got the SLR I like to use now, a Canon F1N, and I eventually bought a flatbed scanner. Now I am getting into digital photography with a fairly serious camera, a Sony NEX-7. I've chosen it for its light weight, since I use a cane and sometimes need to one-hand the camera. It will be interesting to see whether a digital camera will allow me to continue to do the work with controlled depth of field that I enjoy with the Canon and film. Website: not set
