I started out as an fine artist and graphic designer and got into photography in 1970. I'm primarily self-taught. I was introduced to photography by my dad who taught himself to take, develop, print and hand color black & white pictures. I've done portraits, weddings and social events, newspaper, corporate and advertising work. I've taught and judged photography. I make portraits that are said to capture the sitter's personality. Photography has put me in places and with people I never would have know if I didn't have a camera in my hand! Today I use my phone camera more than my Nikons when dancing with light.
