So, how do you sue "Mother Nature"? Many of these fires are started by dry lightning in very remote inaccessible terrain with tinder dry fuels. Others are sometimes started by beer drinkers partying around a campfire and then leaving it unattended. Neither one will get you much of a settlement. You need to read the response from "pendennis" above.

I recently left the forest fires smoke in Montana to visit my daughter in Boston. This picture from my hotel room approaching sunset on Boston harbor clearly shows what I thought I left behind! I wonder how much further east the jet stream will take this smoke?

You are smart to recognize that possibility. I will only be wearing the new shirt when I am legally “packing heat” with a CWP. If someone objects to my expressing my thoughts as given the right to in the First Amendment, so be it. But if that someone reacts in a harmful way and does something VERY stupid, I will give them an indoctrination to what the Second Amendment is all about.

I took these pics at the end of June in 2011 on the Beartooth pass which connects Montana and Wyoming. Can you imagine what it looks like here in the middle of January? You won't find the size of the snow blowers they use here to clear the road each spring at your local hardware store!

You're looking at some LICHENS that are possibly hundreds or thousands of years old, some of the oldest living things on earth. They consist of a combination of fungi and algae in a symbiotic relationship and can be quite colorful. There are thousands of species of lichens world wide from steamy rain forests to the artic ice caps.
