Whoops. My experience. Took some pictures, did some travel with camera in the bag. Upgraded to 2.01 this morning. Whoops, shutter doesn't fire. Nothing apparent, replaced 2.00, shutter still doesn't fire. Another examination, why are seconds shown on screen? Whoops, the video/camera switch had gotten bumped to video. Oh well, moved switch to camera, upgraded to 2.01 again and all is well. Photos from Las Vegas Spring Preserve. In their gardens and inside the butterfly house. Z8, 24-200, 180-600.
Well fiddle, all my comments with the pictures disappeared. Wonder what I did.
Travel time, my wife and I are retired so hitting the road for some pictures. She has a Z7ii, 24-200mm and I have a Z8, 18-140mm. A fun time was had by all. Down the east coast of NZ and up the east coast of Australia with a couple of days to attend the Opera. Wonderful performance.
Hey, where is the "junk yard dog". Gotta be a dog somewhere.
After being plugged in for two years, the battery is probably shot.
Several weeks ago I asked the group where around Seattle there might be eagles this time of the year. I was asked to show what I found. Slim pickings in Dec but we did see a pair and a single. Problem was distance, closest we could get was about 200 yards. Z8, 100-400mm, 2x extender and DX mode. Generally 1/1500, f8-11, auto ISO and used the hood of the car for a tripod. I have read that eagles hang out in the Burlington, WA area this time of the year, along the Skagit river. Any local Hedgehogs know if this is true? Got a free plane ticket and the time to go. Couldn't find a camera store in town to ask, so please let me know if it's worth a trip. Thanks! Flying into Seattle, any other place around there?
The RB-47's didn't have a bomb bay for bombs. It was reconfigured for the two EWO's with ejections seats and all their electronic survey equipment. They also sat on the steps for takeoff and then crawled down a narrow passage to their office. (no windows)
I labeled this photo, 60 years and 40 pounds ago.
Pilot, Co-pilot, Navigator, Electronic Warfare Officers.
One of two special modified RB-47's for electronic surveillance.
I was the Co-pilot.
Are friends startled when you say you are going to "shoot some birds, etc?"

I'm old enough I should know better but a Facebook ad caught my eye, an add-on for Photoshop to enhance landscape images, just $27.00, special price. I received the software online and all the instructions, such as they were, were based on using PS version 21.1 and my last upgrade is version 25.1 Probably no problem if you are software savvy but I'm not. The frustration is my problem, but be warned on what's out there. Yes, I wrote them and posted my complaint on their Facebook page with. of course, no response. No names but you should be able to figure it out on this one.
Still getting used to my Z8 after years of a D500. Using 100-400 with 2X in DX mode. ISO 2800, f9.5. Could have had a lower ISO if I hadn't used the 2X since the shots came out at 435mm. It's a learning process. Anyway, a series on the bird arriving, landing, feeding and leaving.
Hummers in the day time and night blooming cereus at 04:30 and 08:30. The flower was completely closed by 9:30. Last year a couple of flowers were fertilized in that short time span and produced seeds.
Went to South Africa, Sabi Sands, about 6 years ago. Thinking of going again, anyone have any suggestions of tour offers?
