Can I suggest not worrying about how sharp it is (although I ran it through Topaz Sharpen AI), and not compose it so it looks like it's about to crash, rather than land..I'd be delighted if I were the pilot, it's a great shot, and there's enough bokeh in the trees to reinforce movement of the plane.

As others have said, RAW is not an acronym but rather refers to the unprocessed state of a photograph, hence raw. So like JPEG and TIFF, it typically is written as capitals.
If you want to use as much information from an image taken by a camera in post processing, then you need to shoot in RAW (as opposed to raw). But the downside is RAW files are much larger than JPEG, and some cameras can’t even shoot in RAW.

Yes, he is a New Zealander.
However, does anyone on this forum actually use Luminar Neo? I do, and I like it a lot. It’s easy to use, has powerful image processing abilities (For example, its power line deletion is one click. See if you can do that in Photoshop!). It lacks Lightroom’s cataloguing capabilities, and Photoshop’s incredible—but so difficult to learn—depth of features. But Neo strives for simplicity of use and features that can quickly be learned. I wonder if Neo’s fresh approach to post-processing is partially responsible for Lightroom’s and Photoshop’s latest efforts to make their features more user-friendly.

The new iMacs are already here, with the new chips, except for the iMac Pro and the iMac 27” (only 24” for now). No need to wait, I’d suggest the 24” since the performance is truly outstanding, or if you’re willing to wait, see what is coming in a 27” (it may only be the iMac Pro).

But others have suggested cleaning up your current iMac, and that’s a good idea if you haven’t done that for a while.

Here’s the letter ‘m’—what was left over after removing the handles from a paper bag before recycling.

Come back out, car stolen. (Sorry, couldn’t resist that!)

Umm...you are right, the iMac can’t be lowered. But could it be mounted below the surface of the desk?
I’m not trying to change your mind about the M1 Mac mini + monitor, but rather if you did actually want an all-in-one Mac, this idea might work...but of course, it does somewhat muck up the desk itself!
On second thoughts, go with the Mac mini!

I had the same issue when I upgraded to an iMac Pro—it wouldn’t connect to my old Apple Cinema Display, and despite people telling me I could—it couldn’t.
BTW, I also have a 2012 iMac with a fusion drive and it cannot upgrade to Big Sur, so I explored the M1 Mac Mini with a new external monitor. But in the end I’ve gone with a new 21.5” iMac 4K retina instead. Seemed like a more sensible choice at around the same price..

I would be more concerned about connecting the M1 Mac mini to your old Apple Cinema Display, than worrying about Ram. Be sure to check this with Apple if the plan is to use the Cinema Display as a monitor, unless you’ve already done that.

Ever since I heard my ex-wife say, "I think the cat wants to celebrate her birthday," I became a devoted fan of anthropomorphism. The practice of assigning human traits to inanimate or non-human animals is almost as old as mankind. Please excuse my meager attempt at humor to combat fatigue during the pandemic lockdown. Hope you enjoy. Please feel free to download, change whatever you like and share your response with me to lessen our burden.

I think you meant "is" off? Or is that 'bird dialect'? If anthropomorphism were banned, the funnies page in newspapers would be almost empty, but from a photographic perspective, Pareidolia is a great example of anthropomorphism at work!

Nor do you refer to Belisha beacons which used to grace the tops of the poles at ‘zebra’ crossings! I don’t think I saw any of those the last time I was driving in the UK (last year).
