You know the Everything bagels from CostCo? The local store sells two sleeves for the price of one. I toasted one this morning for breakfast, with a bit of Irish butter and a smear of whipped Philly cream cheese.

Very nice. Is the Irish butter similar to the butter you get at Outback or Texas Roadhouse?

The challenge at auto shows or in outdoor auto photos is to have the subject sharp and the background blurry. I know that a wide open aperture would do the trick but runs the hazard of not having the entire length of the auto in focus if it’s at an angle to the camera. Is there one f-stop recommended or would it be better to do a few bursts at various stops to get a blurry background? Or would a short tele help to add to bokeh?

I think you might have to compromise. If you want the whole car in focus then the background comes with it. Fix it in post as it was suggested. After I take all my normal angle and straight on pics, I like to get close to some nice feature of a car. Like a close up of a tail fin of a Caddy. Then I can get the background to blur or get some nice bokeh. Wait for people to move or add them to the scene if they seem interesting. I usually take my 35mm and 50mm with one body. Always a polarizer to get the reflections off the glass.
Lastly, try not to get your reflection in the paint or the chrome if you use a wide lens.

The last one is my favorite. The composition is the best in my opinion. Tastefully done.

depending on the year and model there can be 2 types of sensors. Stem mounted and band mounted.

A tire pressure sensor screws on the top of the valve. Then you need a tire trainer to calibrate all 4 tire sensors

Good job! I've been there, but a looong time ago, in another life.... good memories, though.

Thanks, Did you race there? It would be awesome if you had some pictures to share. They are refurbishing the old wooden bleachers. Hopefully this they`ll be done.

2023 was great for me photography wise. I`ve been practicing using my monopod. I went to Lime Rock Park and photgraphed Imsa racing. I bought a new used 70-200 and a teleconverter. It was great learning how to use them. I`ve been watching more tutorials on editing, lightroom and camera stuff.
For 2024, I hopefullly plan on more of the same. I have another trip planned to Mid-Ohio Raceway to photograph the Honda Indy 200. I have no plans on going mirrorless. I`m going to keep my Nikon D750 and learn more about it`s controls.
There`s just 1 more lens I would like, a Nikon 24-70mm vr. Maybe this year, i`m in no rush. I guess that`s about it. I hope you all have a great New Years. Looking forward to seeing your work on UHH

No offense intended, just trying to crack a joke. I saw the Clydesdale horses at Busch Gardens. Massive horses. While on vacation at Gettysburg Pa we went on a guided horse tour of the battlefield. To me, they are intimidating.
They are big and strong. I grew up in NY, the only time I ever saw a horse if there was a cop riding one. Or when some of my friends and I went to VanCortlandt Park Stables and rode for about an hour.
Since moving to Maryland I see more horses and even live stock on my ride to and from work.
