Centennial Park in the Vanderbilt area of Nashville, Tennessee. Fond memories of this par from 1970-1971. Huge counter culture hangout. Lots of Hippies came to the park to just basically hang out and groove. All of those Hippies made the stuff shirts nervous. #1 Ducks on the pond #2 The replica of the Parthenon. Take a bike ride if so inclined. #3 A replica of the Parthenon.
Eve of destruction, tax deduction, city inspectors, bill collectors,
Mod clothes in demand, population out of hand, suicide, too many bills,
Hippies moving to the hills People all over the world are shouting, 'End the war'
And the band played on...… Ball of confusion from 1970 (The Temptations) As hot as it's been some September gold trying to pop in and all. Nikon 7000 raw image edit!
Just kinda hanging out on a late summer day and things such as that.
I like this series. Too Me it is so good to see real Americana.
Great shots. I like the homegrown fireworks shot the best!
Love the compositions and this treatment!
The Guy on the frame left and right lol looks like a young Mick Jagger. That A 1 Canon was a great camera! I was shooting with that camera when the first release of Fugi color slide and print films were released. I love Fugi film. The first release rocked it. Colors that just popped!!! Anyway interesting shot!

Not sure why this bus was parked here. Needless to say it's not the magic bus mentioned in the song by the Who! " Every day I get in the queue (too much, Magic Bus)
To get on the bus that takes me to you (too much, Magic Bus)
I'm so nervous, I just sit and smile (too much, Magic Bus)
You house is only another mile (too much, Magic Bus)" The Who

Pretty picture ... where abouts?
this photo was taken in East Nashville, Tennessee. There is a very nice greenway system there. It is about 30 miles or so of walking trails ( I ride my Trek mountain bike) and great trails. Natural habitat for domestic and exotic Birds. Thanks for the comment!
Great album by Pink Floyd BTW! I liked the clouds this day. August 2019

I liked your photographs, especially the first one. I would venture that you and your friends were not the only ones toting around a bag of weed.
yeah from time to time we would run into some cool People/ Once some African American Guys (similar ages 15-18) came walking from the other direction. We did the usually Hey Man what's happening thing. Then one of the Guys in our group said Hey Man wanna toke a number. this stretch was shielded by trees so the people that lived in the houses on both sides could never see us smoking weed lol. Railroad employees would usually ask Us to get off the tracks but They were nice about it. Anyway, They were great times. That was a great era. the FM radio provided the music soundtrack! One of the hot albums in the summer of 69 was Crosby, Stills and Nash's first album. Anyway thanks for the memories and the comment about the photos!
