Photo editing in the old days

This was done in 1984 using a Canon A1 SLR, and a Cokin "Double Exposure" filter. The filter was a half-moon solid mask. You exposed half the frame, turned it 180 degrees, and exposed the other half after the subject moved. And you hoped the background and lighting didn't change in the 30 seconds it took.
Of course we also did a lot of wizardry in the dark-room, also.
Now we have Adobe, et al.

Technology makes it easier--probably also raises the bar. Never knew about that filter.

The Guy on the frame left and right lol looks like a young Mick Jagger. That A 1 Canon was a great camera! I was shooting with that camera when the first release of Fugi color slide and print films were released. I love Fugi film. The first release rocked it. Colors that just popped!!! Anyway interesting shot!

It DOES look like Mick!
There is no G in Fuji.
Great film and cameras!
This is pretty much a straight print from a 6x7 negative.

I recently was trashing through my old camera equipment and found this filter - along with 15-20 others.
Who knows... I might use them!

Me, too! I was never very pleased with the results being as picky as I am.

Used to do a lot of fun stuff like that shooting movies back in the days! People talking with themselfes, one person is the only person walking forward in a busy street, while everybody else is walking backward, people flying around, etc., and so much more. Yeah that sure was fun!

I don't know if this would be considered photo editing. This photo is SOC, a triple exposure taken with an Exakta VXIIA and a 58mm Zeiss Biotar lens back in about 1967. There was some editing done to it in PSE14 to adjust the contrast.
