Unless the airline needs the plane at the destination they would probably cancel the flight (mechanical problems -- not enough seat holders installed).

Of course the flight will be delayed because if the psychos cancelled at the last minute they will have a LOT of baggage to unload. Yours will probably be included.

Thanks for the clarification. It was very helpful to learn the details

With Topaz Denoise I no longer have issues with noise.

Topaz Photo AI is even better than Denoise. I was in doubt that it could be better as I used Denoise for years and was happy with the results, but Photo AI proved to be better.

Since they buy our planes and tanks, I don't think the cost of a helmet is going to be a problem. I'll give you my guess after a few more posts.

You are very wrong. Israel does buy F35 fighter jets from the US, but they manufacture several models of Israeli jets. Among these are the A-4 Skyhawk, F-4 Phantom II, F-15 Eagle, F-16 Fighting Falcon and F-35 Lightning II. The Israeli Air Force has operated several domestically produced types such as the IAI Nesher, and later, the more advanced IAI Kfir.

Israel doesn't buy US-made tanks. There is no need for this, as Israeli designed and manufactured in Israel tank Merkava is one of the best in the world. It's as good and has some features better than the US-made Abrams A1M2 tank. Read here:

We've all heard about people saying, "You must have an expensive camera to take such good pictures." Although people have complimented my pictures, they never mentioned the camera. Maybe that quotation is just an urban legend.

I posted a variation of that today. A local woman does amazing pencil sketches of local scenes. They're lifelike and accurate. In my reply, I asked her what kind of pencils she used because I'd like to draw that well. Fortunately, people realized I was being humorous, and they posted 😁.

I heard Van Gogh had excellent brushes and top-of-the-line paints :)

Take the best camera you've got. A trip like this is the point of having it. Also, starting right this minute, carry that camera everywhere, to the grocery store, to the mail box everywhere you go and everything you do. Get used to the feeling of having it with you all the time. This will make it much less likely to be left somewhere. Although I pretty much always have a camera close, I make a real point of it being a part of me starting about a month before I go on vacation.

Great advice!

What is the best software to use to back up my computer? Some have recommended Backblaze. What does this community think? Thanks for your recommendations.

I use a BackBlaze service to automatically back up my C: and D: drives once a day. It backs up almost 3Tb of all my data. So far everything works fine, I didn't need restoration. It took a couple of days to do the initial backup and now it takes about 20 minutes daily to update.

I was heading into the local supermarket, and I saw two old men (90+) near the shopping carts. One was returning a cart, and the other was trying to free one from the "herd." The returner said, "Take your time." The other man replied, "I don't have much time." That made me laugh out loud.

It would have been easier and faster for the returner to pass his empty cart to the other guy. Problem solved.

Edit: My results are good enough to make jumping ship (IMHO) meaninglessness.

I second this opinion. Topaz Photo AI is an excellent tool, very easy to use.

In Lightroom Classic, to apply lens correction to all photos I just imported, I enabled correction for one photo and then selected all the other photos and pasted the lens correction settings. This seems kinda laborious. Is there a more efficient way to apply lens correction? And will I always have to apply lens correction to every new batch of photos I import?

Thanks for your thoughts.

I edit the first image in the batch and then create my own preset. I have two presets I created to my taste - "My Landscape" for most of the images and "My Cityscape" for images where geometric corrections are required. So, I typically open the image, apply my preset and then do
adjustments as required.

I will be in Lisbon, Sintra, Nazare, Porto and Algarve and deciding what to take. The choice is Canon SX50HS or Canon 70D with 24-105 4.0L, Canon 100-400L, Tokina 11-20 2.8 and Nifty Fifty.I know this is old gear but trying not to buy any new gear unless that would make a huge difference. Thanks in advance for Your knowledgeable suggestions.

I shoot Nikon Z, but I think my recent experience will apply to your plans. In November, I spent 4 days in Barcelona and then 11 days on Mediterranean cruise, visiting 8 cities in France, Italy and Greece. I had with me Z7ii and two lenses - Z 24-120 f4 and Z 17-28mm f2.8. This set proved to be totally sufficient, in fact about 80% of shots were taken with 24-120. So, I suggest that you take your 24-105 and 11-20 only, nothing else.
