Ha!

People tend to remember extremes. I remember the Christmas in the 70’s when it was warm enough that I spent all day outside in a white T shirt. No need for even a light jacket. Or the one in the 80’s when everything was coated in ice and no one could go anywhere. And the Christmas in the 90’s when I spent most of the afternoon pushing snow so we could get out the next day. Don’t remember so much the other ones.

A lot less snow now than back in the 40's.
I remember driving through snow tunnels on the highway. And my dad took the 1st picture of the train bringing me home from the hospital a week after I was born in 1948.

The 2nd picture is our yard in the early 50's. We definitely don't see snow like this any more!

And the 3rd picture is how I feel in about February wondering if winter will ever end!!

The climate is changing...

Check out Northern CA last year (and other western snow areas) and expected again this year. I grew up back East and never saw snow like that - I’m 67.

Yup, I've been at Crater Lake in the winter. Impressive snow accumulations. And areas of Washington just received up to 100" of the white stuff!

Back in the 60's when I was a teenager, we had snow that was so deep the parts of W. 10st Deer Park, NY were unpassable for days.
We could make snow forts that were over our heads.
