Hi!!! I am way new to this forum and way amateur photographer. I have a cannon s3is power shot and have no idea how to use it. I have tons of ideas but don't know how to translate them to photos properly. I received a very unexpected offer while joking around with a good friend. I have an opportunity to shoot an exquisite body nude and I don't want the pictures to disappoint. Can I PLEASE get feed back, on what function and settings I should use, I don't have any kind of special lighting but I think that's huge when shooting nude body right? I'd appreciate any help

I was gonna use some type of oil, and now I know what to use : .P, ty and I'll be checking out that info you provided before I take the photos, think I could send them to you to get some feed back?

You could use the light of a window or use a sheet and a lamp for an improv soft-box, check out www.dyiphotography.net for some great lighting ideas on the cheap! And if your shooting glamor...vegetable oil works well and is good for the skin.

I'd suggest looking at portrait and baby threads. After all they all have some common needs/ answers. A lot of newborn photos have nude subjects in them.

O, sorry to all don't mean to offend anyone, thank you for your intel

I'm not offended, but a lot of people are. I spent a lot of my childhood on Bourbon St. in the French Quarters of New Orleans. I also love to do nude art. It's one of the most beautiful things in the world to me.

Still, you need some special equipment to take away the shadows and you can't do that with just a good camera. It's got be to be right lighting or it won't come out.

See if you can book a studio room from someone, and use thier lighting and set up. For the fee, it may be worth it, if your friend really wants some quaility shots.

Wow Burbon st. that must have been interesting. I agree with you, our bodies create life, and life is a very beautiful. I did put nude in the topic so people had the choice to read or pass it by. I didn't even expect to have a chance to photograph a nude body, but it's gonna help me focus. I entered my first contest on this site, I didn't expect to do that either, the topic got me to focus on the camera and what I need to do to get the affect I needed. It's not like I'm posting explicit stuff, lol, just thought I could get some feed back from people who knew what they were doing, and I appreciate your feed back. If I was an expert here I would lend my knowledge to anyone for any type of pictures, even if it wasn't my cup of T, that's what were all here for right, to help, to learn, to explore our imaginations, to work on composition, color, and I'm sure other things I don't know of yet, but all in all, to take some really amazing photos. Hopefully this gets people to open their minds if even a little bit.

O if you haven't seen it yet, if I'm right there is an hbo documentary called The Naked World or Naked World by or with Spencer Tunic, check it out it's interesting, I was amazed.

I had another pic where the fire circle was complete but it was grainy, I know its not a sweet pic of love and warmth but it is of something warm. Thanks for the contest it gave me something to focus on, it's my first contest and I'm still learning the camera and I've noticed more contest on this site, gonna look for another right now, hope this entry isn't too late.
